manhattan’s pulse.

This map demonstrates the overwhelming amount of commuters going in and out of Manhattan. The pulsing bar animation is quite effective in that the information ties back into life; human circulation acting as the blood going in and out of the heart which is the city.

the footprint.

Perhaps it’s not the most unique, but the use of bubble/circle-diagrams that form into two large footprints showing the worlds carbon emission is effective in getting the message across. The map simply breaks down every countries carbon dioxide expulsion per annum.

migration pattern.

This example shows the inflow (blue) and outflow (red)patterns of people migrating between the year 2010 to 2015. The minimal use of colours with the dotted animation shows an efficient way of communicating the information.
