After the previous simulation and environmental studies conducted to our homes/ rooms, this task looks at re-purposing our room, along with three other members (and their spaces), to form and proposed an office suite for a design practice.

In linking the rooms, the brief requires that we retain the existing conditions of our rooms, and additions/changes to be kept minimal. Along with this, we were also to retain the current orientation of our rooms.

The outline requires that we accommodate the following programs to the linked spaces: a computer room, a model-making studio, a library and a meeting room.

The aim of this exercise is to improve the existing condition of our rooms, along with meeting the standard requirements of the required programs; to create spaces that are comfortable for the users, improve the building’s performance using renewable resources and minimise its impact to the environment.
