We have a new conference table, expertly crafted by Levi , one of our Project Managers. Levi’s passion for craftsmanship and eye for detail shines through in this exquisite handmade piece. Constructed from 8/4 and 10/4 teak, it features a traditional yacht deck pattern, large radius corners, a scalloped edge, and a custom teak base. The graceful frame was meticulously shaped using templates, routers, a bandsaw, and a spindle sander.
It looks absolutely beautiful and fits our space so well. Just another ode to craftsmanship, bespoke pieces, and the Tongue & Groove way!

WELCOME JOSH AYLETT
We are thrilled to announce our new architect, Josh Aylett, started in April.
Josh is an experienced Architect with a portfolio of high-end residential projects across the USA. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University in England, where he specialized in historic regeneration and adaptive reuse in Europe. Josh gained early experience in both England and Spain, establishing a diverse portfolio that reflects his commitment to high-quality design.
Josh furthered his career at Olson Kundig in Seattle where he transitioned into high-end residential design, collaborating closely with renowned architect Jim Olson. He contributed to projects at varying scales throughout the country, including Jim Olson’s personal residence in Seattle, WA. His tenure there allowed him to refine his skills and expand his design repertoire.
Upon relocating to Austin, TX, Josh continued to refine his craft, working on a variety of projects that showcased his versatility and ingenuity. He continued in high-end residential design at Shiflet Richardson Architects and later joined Michael Hsu Office of Architecture , further solidifying his reputation for delivering exceptional design solutions.
At CRAFT Architecture & Interiors, Josh’s varied experiences add considerable value. His expertise in 3D design, rendering, construction documentation, and consultant coordination, equips him with the skills to lead and innovate in architectural design. His approach to blending modern adaptations with traditional forms enriches the firm’s creative palette, enabling CRAFT Architecture & Interiors to push boundaries in creating spaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible.
Josh’s proficiency in navigating complex design challenges, coupled with his experience in leading projects from conceptualization to execution, positions him as a dynamic force within CRAFT Architecture & Interiors. His addition to the team not only enhances the firm’s creative capabilities but also its commitment to sustainability and innovation in architecture.
In addition to his architectural pursuits, Josh is a multifaceted creative who explores various artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, metalworking and photography. His keen eye for detail and passion for innovation consistently inform his approach to design.
Project 72’s seahorse sculpture commemorates our client’s cherished childhood memories at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club.
Crafted with meticulous detail, the cast in bronze seahorse symbolizes the client’s deep connection to the sea and the club. It serves as a timeless tribute and a focal point of nostalgia, embodying the essence of coastal wonders. Hats off to Justin Campbell, whose exceptional artistry brought this vision to life.

UNVEILING SHANDY HALL:
From the inviting front porch with its tongue and groove pine floors to the cozy fireplaces gracing nearly every room, this residence exudes classic Southern elegance. The master suite is a sanctuary of luxury with its vaulted wood ceiling and marble-clad bathroom, complete with heated floors and a stained-glass shower. The unique structure, reminiscent of an open book, divides the house into distinct areas, while the upstairs showcases a family heirloom, an old canoe hanging from the ceiling, a treasure since 1915. Each secondary bedroom boasts double sliding glass doors that open onto private balconies, providing unique views of the surrounding waters. Outside, the screened-in porch, wood-burning fire pits, and lane line pool offer idyllic spaces for relaxation and entertainment.
