Canopy
Perched above the forest, Canopy offers an elevated, private living experience immersed in light and nature. Designed for Kingbird’s wooded homesite, it minimizes its footprint to preserve the land’s beauty. The lower level includes a garage, mudroom, entry, elevator, and a tranquil outdoor space with a pool, while the main living areas rise into the treetops.
Divided into two wings, Canopy separates private and public spaces. One wing contains the bedrooms, with a primary suite facing a detached guest residence. The other holds the kitchen, dining, and living areas, centered around a striking concrete fireplace that extends to a lakeside balcony. Blending minimalism and bold design, Canopy reflects Kingbird’s vision: purposeful land use, elevated lifestyle, and design freedom.

Homestead
Homestead blends traditional ranch-style living with modern craftsmanship, honoring the land and its heritage. Its twin gabled structures, covered in vertical cedar and rusted metal roofing, draw from agrarian roots while incorporating refined, contemporary details. Exposed timber and natural textures create a warm, enduring feel, reflecting Kingbird’s spirit.
A glass connector links the two gabled volumes, framing nature and housing the living and dining areas that open to a private backyard. One volume holds the bedrooms, the other the garage, kitchen, and service spaces. A lakeside deck with a fire pit and seating blends architecture with the landscape. Homestead embodies retreat, reflection, and connection to the land, true to Kingbird’s vision.
