Grieve Construction are a locally owned family run business that have been serving the greater Canterbury region for over 40 years.
With in house designers, quantity surveyor, pre nail factory, and joinery department we can take any building project from conception to completion.
The company was founded by John and Dawn Grieve in 1981 as a one-man operation before more employees were added as the work grew. John was a key figure in Mid Canterbury’s first Dairy farming boom and was the building contractor on the regions first rotary dairy shed in 1985.
The business grew to a team of 20 in the mid 1990’s with a focus on dairy farm conversions and housing. John’s son’s both joined the business at this time, Ben has completed joinery and carpentry apprenticeships and is a registered LBP as well as being the company’s designer and draughtsman. Todd has completed carpentry and truss and frame apprenticeships and has recently completed a diploma in quantity surveying. Daughter Melanie has previously run the office side of the business showing it is a true family affair.
We pride ourselves on delivering an easy stress-free build for all our clients while still producing high quality results that exceed expectations.
