to the Big Ex!

Public Parking

For your convenience, reserved parking is available in rows three through five at a cost of $25 each on a first-come, first-serve basis. These can be purchased at the exhibition’s main office. Book your spot early so you don’t miss out. If you plan on travelling back and forth a fair bit, this is the cheapest and best option for you.

Kids Petting Barn

Come on out to the Kids Petting Barn and look at all the animals, visit our farmer for a day booth, relax and colour a picture.

Our petting barn is located just inside the main entrance. Our Kids Petting Barn has been graciously sponsored by Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture.

On behalf of the Town of Bridgewater, my colleagues on Town Council, our staff, our residents, and our local business community, it is with great excitement that I welcome you back once again to the South Shore Exhibition!

With more than 130 years of history behind it, we are so proud that the Big Ex and its important connections to our region’s agricultural heritage remain such a vibrant part of our community today.

The board of directors for the South Shore Exhibition and their team of staff and volunteers have worked hard to plan an exciting experience for all visitors in 2023. With a full slate of fun events, from the rides and games, to the horse and ox-pull competitions, to the Main Stage Saturday night headliner High Valley, there’s truly something for all ages.

While you’re visiting Bridgewater and enjoying Big Ex week, don’t forget to check out more of our amazing community.

Our historic Downtown King Street shopping and restaurant district is absolutely thriving and has more variety to offer than ever before. We’re happy to share all the shops and services you’ve come to expect from our bustling town –you can learn all about what Bridgewater has to offer by visiting www.explorebridgewater.ca or by following us on Facebook at @BridgewaterNS.

Enjoy all the festivities and we’ll see you at the Big Ex!
