CHRISTINE ROBERSTON REFUGEE BURSARY
Christine Robertson devoted her life to teaching at Marist College Canberra, remembered for her compassion, fairness and unwavering belief in her students. She knew the power of opportunity, having herself benefited from scholarships, and chose to leave a legacy that would give refugee boys the same chance.
This bursary provides stability, belonging and hope for refugee families beginning again in Australia. It honours Christine’s life of service and keeps her values alive in the College community.
“WE OFFER BURSARIES NOT BECAUSE WE KNOW WHAT A BOY WILL ACHIEVE BUT BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN WHO HE CAN BECOME.”
Headmaster Matthew Hutchison
