Hey! ABOUT ME:

I am a fourth year architecture student at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, with an expected graduation date of June 2025. Upon receiving my Bachelor of Architecture, I will also be receiving minors in Interior Architecture, Environmental Studies, and Sports Business. I was born in Oak Harbor, Washington, and moved to Houston, Texas when I was nine before returning to the Pacific Northwest for college. I have grown up traveling often due to my parents being pilots, and have always been intrigued by architecture and how it differs around the world. My passion for architectural design stems from my love for art and math, which have always been my best subjects in school. I am currently working for University of Oregon Housing Capital Construction as a student assistant where I get to work hand in hand with project and construction managers, architects, engineers, etc., in team as well as individual environments. My long term goal in my architectural career is to create sustainable buildings that will provide a sense of safety and community to whomever may be a user.

Cross Creek Village is a community oriented 3D printed neighborhood created as part of my Fall 2023 studio and ICON competition, Initiative 99. The driving force behind the project was to create homes under $99,000 each while maximizing the printability of a 100’ x 38’ 3D printer bed.

As part of a three person student team, my contribution to the project was the schematic design of Unit 3, diagram production, the neighborhood site plan/design as well as all floorplans, and overall graphic production of final boards. The QR code to the right is our video submission to the competition, which was my task to edit after my teammate gathered the video frames from Twinmotion.

PORTLAND HUB FOR PERFORMING ARTS

The Portland Hub for Performing Arts is a mass timber and brick theater arts building in Portland, Oregon designed with the intent of balancing performance, education, and hospitality. Given the task to support black box and white box theaters, classrooms, fitting rooms, offices, and a cafe/bar, I designed the first two floors to be more public spaces, with floors three and four more private. The fourth floor is exclusively for education and dressing rooms with the purpose of being away from public access. Some of the goals I accomplished with this project include: relation to buildings in the area, connection to the neighboring park blocks, and separation of public and private.

4th Floor

Floorplans and Sections were created with AutoCad and Morpholio Trace, 3D model and perspective sections/renderings were created with Sketchup, V-Ray, Enscape, and Photoshop. Everything was compiled together with Illustrator.

GARDEN CENTRAL BATHS

Garden Central Baths is a Bathhouse located in the heart of Eugene, Oregon. Over the entire course of this term, we were tasked with designing a bathhouse for the local Eugene Community. We were given a site downtown behind the Saturday market building and were given specific parameters to follow regarding rooms, square footage, levels, etc. The driving motive of this bathhouse is the immersion of the built world and the outside environment. This bathhouse incap-sulates the values of nature and how the outside environment af-fects people and their experiences. Having a central garden/courtyard as a space you have to pass through and view in your time spent in the bathhouse forces one to experience the spiritual value of the outside. Final renderings were done in Rhino with V-Ray and finalized in Photoshop. Plans and sections were done in Rhino and finalized in Illustrator.

LOWELL COMMUNITY HALL+ROWING CENTER

VIEW OF COMUNITY HALL INTERIOR The Lowell Community Hall and Rowing Center is a project with a site in Lowell, Oregon on the edge of Dexter Lake Reservoir. The rowing center is imagined to support the UO Crew team with boat and equipment storage, a workout center, classroom, offices, locker room, etc. The Community hall was designed with the intent of being a space for community gatherings, weddings, formals, etc.

The program entails about 22,000 square feet, split into two buildings. The buildings have been split with the intent of separating events and crew team needs. Both buildings are constructed in a system of mass timber columns and beams, with wood finishings. The spaces themselves are meant to feel warm, and connected to the reservoir. The programs used are Sketchup, Autocad, V-Ray, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

Dexter Reservoir is home to regatta competitions like the NCAA PAC 12 Rowing Championships every year. The site was chosen to work hand in hand with rowing competitions, with the intent of being able to watch each race from the community hall.
