M/T YANNIS P. – 1ST CLASS SPECIAL / DD SURVEYS Repair Period M/T Yannis P. underwent surveys, repairs and modifications in Piraeus, SNC Shipyard in Romania and Palumbo Shipyard in Malta in December 2014 and January 2015. The repair period had to be extended due to critical damage to SNC Shipyard’s drydock facilities while M/T Yannis P. was at a repair berth. This resulted in a new yard having to be booked urgently to complete class surveys.

Class Surveys Surveys of W.B and Cargo tanks revealed the condition of structure and coating to be very good. There was renewal of side shell plates at specific points after which visual examinations and vacuum tests were carried out. Among other safety reviews and inspections were the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) review, the five-yearly lifeboat inspection as well as the deck and E/R cranes inspection, during which the wires of the hose handling cranes (P+S) were renewed.
