ISHGA

Experience results-driven skincare derived from the ocean, backed by science. Ishga is derived from the Gaelic word for water. The pure, clean waters of the Hebridean Islands off the northwest coast of Scotland are home to ishga, and where they sustainably hand-harvest the four types of seaweed that are at the heart of their organic skincare. 4

Each ishga massage can be tailored to your own needs. Choose from a selection of unique oils, all with bases of sweet almond, jojoba, and thistle oil, to elevate your experience.

INVIGORATING

An uplifting Hebridean seaweed body oil with the signature ishga scent of lemongrass, juniper berry, lavender, and rose geranium to energise and invigorate the body.

NURTURING

A comforting oil containing rose geranium to aid stress relief, reduce inflammation, and soothe the mind and body.

WARMING

A comforting, woody oil containing patchouli, bergamot, and sandalwood. Ideal for muscular aches, nervous tension, and insomnia.

MUSCLE RECOVERY

A stimulating blend of oils formulated to increase circulation and aid muscle recovery naturally. Antiinflammatory benefits ease aching muscles and joints, whilst uplifting the mind to relieve fatigue and provide mental clarity.

INFORMATION A spa visit should be a completely relaxing experience. Please take a few moments to read the following information to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Spa Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 9:30pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 7am to 8pm. Please contact our Spa reservations team to book your treatment or spa day.

ARRIVING AT THE SPA

Hotel guests will be provided with robes and slippers within their room and may wish to arrive at the spa dressed in their robes. We invite you to arrive at our spa and leisure reception 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow you time to fill out the relevant consultation card. Kindly note that if you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, your treatment time will be reduced; however, full payment will still be required.

WELLNESS FACILITIES

Spa guests enjoy one hour of access to our leisure facilities prior to their treatment, with a pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, fully equipped gym, and squash court. Please check the leisure timetable on our site ahead of your visit for fitness class and pool schedules.

SPA DINING AND REFRESHMENTS

Enjoy dishes from our specially created Spa menu. We also offer a selection of prosecco, champagne, and cocktails, as well as tea, coffee, and soft drinks.

HEALTH CONDITIONS

Your wellbeing is our priority, so please advise us of any health conditions, recent operations, allergies, or injuries when making your spa booking, as a doctor’s note may be required.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Persons under the age of 16 are prohibited from having spa treatments. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times when using the leisure facilities. They will not be permitted to use the sauna, steam room, or hot tub areas. THE SPA AT MARINE & LAWN TROON

LOST OR DAMAGED PROPERTY

Please keep all valuables locked in the locker provided during your visit. We regret we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage of personal items.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift vouchers must be presented at the time of treatment or full payment will be required.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before your scheduled treatment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of treatment will be charged at 50% of the total cost. If you do not show up for your booked appointment, you will be charged 100% of the total cost.

PREGNANCY

We offer specially designed treatments for expectant and nursing mothers. Please allow our team to guide you in selecting which treatments are most suitable after the first trimester, to ensure your time with us is safe but still special. Please note that the NHS advise that you should avoid the use of saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis whilst pregnant due to the risk of overheating, dehydration, and fainting.

DON'T WANT THE DAY TO END? ADD AN OVERNIGHT STAY.

If you wish to enhance your spa experience by adding an overnight stay, please let us know. We have some excellent packages available, with hotel rooms and meals in addition to spa treatments.

Powerful, deep and specifically placed techniques make this customised massage essential for relief of aching muscles. Our stimulating muscle recovery oil features fucus serratus extract, a natural anti-inflammatory to relieve physical fatigue, and rosemary to ease muscle pain. We’ll work on one to two body areas of your choice using classic massage techniques, Thai stretching and localised deep-tissue and myofascial release.

A medium-pressure full-body massage combining relaxing elements of aromatherapy massage, lymphatic drainage, and traditional Swedish massage to reduce muscle tension and re-energise the body. Choose from invigorating, relaxing, or warming.

A full body massage incorporating heated Basalt stones, which instantly relax muscles and allow the treatment to work at a deeper level. Hot stones work to relax the mind, ease muscle tension, reduce aches and pains, and are placed along the chakras to open up energy pathways. A seaweed-based oil with lemongrass, lavender and juniper detoxifies and regenerates the skin.

This treatment combines the detoxifying and nourishing effect of the purest seaweed gel with the stimulating and hydrating properties of the scrub. First, a hydrating salt and oil scrub infused with sweet almond, jojoba, and rose geranium to remove dull, tired skin. Then, a cocoon of our nourishing gel body mask to soothe, cool, hydrate, and tone dry, sensitive skin. A warmed geranium-oil scalp massage completes the experience.

The ultimate back facial, this treatment rejuvenates and exfoliates, while treating any congestion to reveal brighter, smoother skin. To cleanse, tone, and exfoliate, a powerful heated seaweed clay mask is applied, clarifying and softening the skin while providing deep moisture. Ideal for skin concerns (such as back acne, dryness, or skin conditions) and for muscle aches and pains. A final back and leg massage leaves you feeling deeply relaxed.

Treatments are bookable between 9:30am and 1:00pm only.

Followed by our ishga Express Facial. This spa day is suitable for mothers to be over 12 weeks and also includes a 2-course set lunch at The Seal as well as 2-hours use of our leisure facilities.

UNWIND BY THE SEA
