ISHGA

Experience results-driven skincare derived from the ocean, backed by science. Ishga is derived from the Gaelic word for water. The pure, clean waters of the Hebridean Islands off the northwest coast of Scotland are home to ishga, and where they sustainably hand-harvest the four types of seaweed that are at the heart of their organic skincare.

Each ishga massage can be tailored to your own needs. Choose from a selection of unique oils, all with bases of sweet almond, jojoba, and thistle oil to elevate your experience.

INVIGORATING

An uplifting Hebridean seaweed body oil with the signature ishga scent of lemongrass, juniper berry, lavender, and rose geranium to energise and invigorate the body.

NURTURING

A comforting oil containing rose geranium to aid stress relief, reduce inflammation, and soothe the mind and body.

WARMING

A comforting, woody oil containing patchouli, bergamot, and sandalwood. Ideal for muscular aches, nervous tension, and insomnia.

MUSCLE RECOVERY

INFORMATION A spa visit should be a completely relaxing experience. Please take a few moments to read the following information to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Spa Hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 9:30pm, and Saturday & Sunday from 7am to 8pm. Please contact our Spa reservations team to book your treatment or spa day.

Please contact our Spa reservations team to book your treatment or spa day. Visit our website, email spa@marineandlawnnorthberwick.co.uk, or call (0) 1620 897300, option 5. Pre-payment is taken at the time of booking.

ARRIVING AT THE SPA

Spa reception is located on the hotel’s lower ground floor. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This will allow you time to fill out the relevant consultation card and change into your bathrobe and slippers. Kindly note that if you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, your treatment time will be reduced; however, full payment will still be required.

PARKING

You’ll find a car park opposite the hotel’s main entrance, which spa guests may use free of charge.

SPA ATTIRE & ETIQUETTE

We provide towels and robes for your comfort during your spa day, and we advise changing into your robe before any spa treatments. Swimwear must always be worn when using the Spa facilities. Please turn off your mobile phone whilst in the spa and respect other guests’ right to privacy and serenity.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

CANCELLATION POLICY

A 100% charge will be incurred for any treatment not cancelled at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled time. Late arrival will shorten your treatment time.

HEALTH CONDITIONS

Your wellbeing is our priority, so please advise us of any health conditions, recent operations, allergies, or injuries when making your spa booking, as a doctor’s note may be required.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Gift them some me-time at Marine & Lawn North Berwick. Vouchers are available for purchase online or through our hotel reception team.

LOST OR DAMAGED PROPERTY

Lockers are available in our changing rooms and require a pound coin. Please keep all valuables locked in a locker during your visit. We cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items. 10

Half Day

SPA PASS £50 PER PERSON Relax and unwind at the Marine & Lawn North Berwick Spa with a Half-Day Spa Pass for one. This pass allows up to four hours access to the spa and leisure facilities. Our facilities include an 18-metre swimming pool, indoor-outdoor hydrotherapy pool, thermal suite with steam rooms and saunas, gym with fitness studio, and a luxurious spa. Robes and towels will be provided during your stay. Please note that pre-booking is required and this pass does not include any treatments. Treatments booked out with our Spa Days must purchase a Day Pass in order to use our facilities. The cost of our half day pass is lowered to £30 per person when booking any spa treatment over £60.

This intensely de-stressing scalp massage banishes tension and aids restful sleep. Your neck, shoulders, face and scalp are massaged using pressure-point and drainage techniques, while carefully selected oils help relax your mind.

ISHGA BACK, NECK & SHOULDER MASSAGE 30 MINUTES | £65 A massage focusing on the back, neck, and shoulders to target areas of tension, release everyday stress, and relax the nervous system. A seaweed-based body oil regenerates and nourishes the skin, with antiinflammatory properties to soothe aching muscles.

A medium-pressure full body massage combining relaxing elements of aromatherapy massage, lymphatic drainage, and traditional Swedish massage techniques to reduce muscle tension and re-energise the body.

A rebalancing, light massage using heated sea salt and seaweed granule-filled poultices, which are applied to the body to relax the muscles, release tension, and nourish the skin. Combined with manual massage movements, the relaxing warm poultices are rhythmically stroked and kneaded over the body. When the compress is heated, it provides a detoxing effect to draw toxins from the body and add a host of vitamins and minerals deep within.

MOTHER-TO-BE PRE-NATAL MASSAGE 55 MINUTES | £120 This treatment focuses on comforting the changes in your body during pregnancy, helping to ease any aches and pains in order to enhance wellbeing and aid relaxation. A nurturing full body massage soothes the aches and general muscle fatigue often experienced during pregnancy. Ishga's Nurturing Oil hydrates skin and helps improve elasticity and the appearance of stretch marks.

DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE 90 MINUTES | £170

Powerful, deep and attentive techniques make this tailored massage perfect for relieving aching muscles. It features a stimulating muscle recovery oil containing ishga’s signature antioxidant packed Fucus Serratus seaweed extract, a natural anti-inflammatory to relieve physical fatigue. The bioactive components of Hebridean seaweed help detoxify the body during this unique treatment, which includes a sea salt and oil scrub and scalp massage.
