Statement of Company Background
M arina Graphic Center, Inc., hereinafter referred to as MGC, has been a California corporation since 1974 and has been servicing the South Bay and Southern California areas since 1964. MGC is a privately owned company with no subsidiaries or affiliates. We are a full-service commercial printer and mailer. Our on-site services include, but are not limited to, artwork, digital pre-press, LED UV offset & 6 color digital printing, bindery/finishing, fulfillment, mail preparation, shipping and delivery. All printing, administration, sales, and manufacturing activities are conducted and supervised at our two adjacent Hawthorne Facilities:

Our main plant is a 26,000 sq. ft. property. It became our home in July 1998. Prior to the move to Hawthorne, MGC had been located in Marina Del Rey, California for over 30 years. Our current facility is a modern two-story, concrete tilt-up building that is situated on approximately 5 acres in a prime commercial/industrial area of Hawthorne, California.

Adjacent to the main property, MGC leases an additional 28,000 sq. ft. building, which houses our Bindery, Quality Control, Fulfillment, Mailing, and Shipping Departments. We are also equipped with 4,000 sq. ft. of supplemental storage space for client inventory. There are 110 parking spaces, including handicap parking for clients and employees. We have an elevator, a fire sprinkler system throughout, a security system with camera surveillance, and we are code-compliant with the city’s fire and building departments. In addition, we are conveniently located near the 105 and 405 freeways
MGC has a staff of 120 full-time employees, eight (8) of which serve as CEO, President; Production Manager; Digital Pre-Press Supervisor; Quality Assurance Manager; Shipping/Traffic Manager; Accounting Supervisor; and Credit/Collection Specialist

• MGC maintains a comprehensive recycling program for waste paper, corrugated material, aluminum plates, ink and press chemistry waste.
• MGC utilizes Process Free Plates. No Water, No Chemistry, No Electricity. We save many thousands of gallons of water yearly while dumping no harmful chemicals into our waste stream.
• We print with LED UV Technology, which is safer for our employees & cleaner for the environment.
• Soy & synthetic inks are utilized on all printed materials. All ink is recycled with no ink going into the MGC waste stream.
• MGC employs the Prisco Flo-Clear System for the filtering of fountain solution on all our presses. This dramatically reduces water usage & spent fountain solution going into the waste stream.
• MGC operates an FTP site via high speed 500 Mbps Fiber Internet for the acceptance and handling of all large digital files.
• Our extensive equipment portfolio allows us to determine what job best fits each press to produce the most cost-efficient product for our clients.

Marina Graphic Center, Inc. has always placed a high priority on our employees well being and safety. This attitude also works well with protecting the environment. Our goal to provide the cleanest, best lit, safest facility means that our employees can come to work confident that the chemicals and materials they use during production contain the absolute lowest in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and other harmful by-products.
MGC exceeds all state and federal requirements for the safe handling of all VOC emitting chemicals and materials.
We also have an extensive recycling policy in place for paper, ink, aluminum, and chemicals.
