It’s for all of us. INSPIRED ATHLETES Jez Bigornia ‘16 joined the water polo team as a freshman with no experience in the sport. Inspired and encouraged by teammates and coaches, by senior year he helped his team make it to the NCS semi-finals. Jez is just one example of how MA aquatics programs serve newcomers and All American athletes equally.
HEALTHIER PEOPLE The Aquatic Center can be the place for fitness, water safety, rehabilitation, lifeguard training, SCUBA certification and more. Our bold vision: every MA student will graduate knowing how to be safe in the water.
THE BROADER COMMUNITY MA can partner with San Rafael around desperately needed learn-to-swim programs and open up more lanes for community swimmers — including a vibrant group of Masters swimmers and student-focused organizations who currently share our pool.
FUTURE STUDENTS When we opened our new field and gym to more community groups and youth teams, something wonderful happened — a boost in applications across every type of student. Imagine what new pathways the Aquatic Center might create.
MA AQUATIC CENTER The Aquatic Center is the final major phase of Vision 2030, Marin Academy’s campus master plan, and will provide a modern facility for competition and wellness. More important, it will open up opportunities to promote personal growth and communitybuilding that exist nowhere else on campus.
