2015 FINANCIAL ANNUAL REPORT Our school district is well positioned for today and tomorrow, and I am proud of the work we are doing at Mariemont City Schools. Our strategic plan, Destination 2026, provides us with a focus to do the work that will make us an even better school district. From kindergarten through 12th grade, staff members are identifying ways to make real-life connections to the curriculum and extend learning beyond textbooks and the four walls of the classroom. We are constantly looking at all areas of study to see how we can enhance and refine the learning experience for all students. Every day, we work to systemically increase individual student achievement through rigorous curriculum design, instructional best practices and purposeful environments. We approach each day with a passion and positive attitude and invest the time to care, listen and respond. We will always strive to best meet the needs of all students. As part of this commitment, we have recently launched Warriors BEyond, the district’s flagship program for student
My top priority is to provide strong fiscal management for Mariemont City Schools. Our community has high expectations for its school district. I work hard to meet these expectations, and I appreciate the support we are so fortunate to receive. Excellence defines our financial operations, academic achievements and curricular offerings, yet we continue to seek efficiencies and savings, look for ways to streamline our work and share services where possible to stretch every dollar. We also make sure our voice is heard at the state level to protect and preserve our state funding. Superintendent Steven Estepp and I believe in excellence now and excellence in the future for Mariemont City Schools. We believe strong fiscal stewardship is essential to the excellence that we provide in the classroom, and we
opportunities beyond the traditional curriculum, including enrichment experiences, travel opportunities and service learning for students of all grade levels. From after-school art enrichment to international global student summits, Warriors BEyond is focused on giving every student the chance to lead, reach and explore. I have seen with my own eyes how this program has ignited student interests and passions in ways they might not have thought previously possible. This is the work that sets us apart. It is a great time to be a part of Mariemont City Schools. I am proud of the work we are doing, and I truly hope that you are as well. Because of the thoughtful support of our community and the relentless dedication of our staff, Mariemont City Schools will continue doing great things for our children! Sincerely,
