Group Service We welcome corporate groups and community organizations to help support Valleywise Health programs.

EVENT ASSISTANCE Many Valleywise Health programs host regularly scheduled events benefiting the community. They include health fairs, food pantries, back-to-school backpack events and more. Based on your organization's focus and schedule, we can tailor volunteer opportunities to fit your needs. Valleywise Health Foundation also hosts multiple philanthropic events each year. Volunteers help support with set-up, registration, greeting guests and more. There will be both virtual and sociallydistanced volunteer opportunities available.

FAMILY LEARNING CENTER

BACKPACK PROGRAM

Located in Valleywise Community Health Centers, our Family Learning Centers offer families a place to go for guidance and classes on parenting, nutrition, safety, early literacy and child development. A fun, customized volunteer opportunity can be tailored to your organization's needs.

Each year, Valleywise Health Foundation partners with the Family Learning Centers to provide backpacks and school supplies to children. The program, funded by generous corporate and individual donors, gives thousands of Arizona children the tools they need to succeed in school. Volunteers can donate, host in-kind donation drives, and volunteer to pack and hand out backpacks.

VIRTUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Throughout the COVID pandemic, our team has pivoted to offer virtual options for volunteering and giving back. Send our healthcare heroes thank you cards and messages of encouragement, offer to put together care packages for our health care professionals and patients or make crafts with our Family Learning Center families.

MOBILE FOOD PANTRY Held on the third Saturday of every month, volunteers help unpack, sort and stock our items for the Mobile Food Pantry.

REFUGEE HEALTH SERVICES HOLIDAY ANGEL PROJECT Organized by the Refugee Health Services This annual donation drive for newly arrived refugee mothers is organized by our Refugee Women’s Health Clinic. Volunteers will help sort and organize donated items, set up for the event and support on the Angel Day by helping individuals and families. Volunteers will help sort and organize donated items, set up for the event and support for the distribution to refugee families.

Volunteers will also have the opportunity to connect with community members and support them as they come to the food pantry for assistance. The Mobile Food Pantry will promptly open as the COVID-19 pandemic slows.
