Synopsis
The Numb3rs N3rds, a math team at a recently co-ed Catholic school, faces a challenge at the Regional Math Competition. Melissa, the team captain, freezes due to stage fright, leading to their loss The other members kick her out in anger. However, they get a second chance when the winning team is disqualified for cheating, but they need one more member. With the help of their former drama teacher turned janitor, they recruit Leroy, a homeschooled missionary kid
Melissa seeks reinstatement, conquering her stage fright with Ms McGery's support The five-person team heads to the National Math SUM-IT. At Nationals, they excel academically but struggle with team dynamics Melissa takes on leadership, inspiring her teammates to reflect on their love for math and its empowering nature.
In the final "elimination round," Melissa faces a familiar question. Drawing strength from her team's suggestions and support, she answers correctly, securing victory for the NUMB3RS N3RDS at the national level.
