I am going to create a planar 3d model of light bursting out.

I made the decision to base my abstract composition on the effect that a mashrabiya's light has.

Many purposes are served by the mashrabiya in conventional Arabic architecture.

Using the screen people within a building may view outside without being seen by those outside, which is one of the major purposes. The mashrabiya's shape also offers shade and ventilation, which helps to keep the interior cool in hot temperatures. The complex mashrabiya pattern also acts as a decorative element, enhancing the building's façade with beauty and personality. The mashrabiya was sometimes employed as a sign of wealth and status since it was expensive to make and install.

Ultimately, the mashrabiya is a significant component of traditional Arabic architecture because of its utilitarian uses and beautiful appearance.
