Spring 2023
This was my first experience creating a model from cans which was a little worrying. However, i liked my model as a first assignment submission.
Overall composition not bad, but when you look at it from different perspectives, the side view is planar, which is against the whole idea of the model.

Using clay, i had to make four models that presented curvilinear forms. Thankfully, this workshop was very fun since i discovered i can make neat curvilinear forms.
Grading Feedback:
Overall great compositions and very but needed more variety as i overu the standing pin compositions.

This assignment was extremely difficult, since we chose a semi complex building, Cathedral Of Brasilia. My group and i focused so much on the concept of tying the balloons instead of achieving the concept of the building itself.
The composition had very little similarity to the building. The only achievable thing was the color. However, Amazing crafting with the balloons was achieved.
Reflection:
In this workshop we had to compose between rectilinear and curvilinear models, using five different shapes, which are centralized, linear, clustered, radian, and grid.It was very interesting to turn real life concepts into com

In this classwork, I had to make four models that presented fragmented forms.
By time I had knowledge on how to make spherical shapes and circular compositions. This classwork was particularly difficult to comprehend and execute, however, i managed to create the four models.
Models were well executed and neat. Als they followed the axis rule, however, i needed a-little more variety.
Reflection:
This assignment was one of my favorites, since we were asked to experiment using any materials, tools, substances we like. For this chair i was aiming for a bloody scary look.
The chair was excellently executed, and very well themed. However, the placement of the top cut of the chair could be put in another way.
In this classwork, i was meant to compose four models using paper. Although paper looks light and gives off the impression that it is easy, it was fairly difficult. I struggled alittle in the begining, however, i got the jist and was able to finish on time.
The compositions were neat and followed the planar rules, but they needed more diversity in the cutting and shaping techniques.
In this assignment, we were required to get inspired by the mashrabeya and create an abstract composition reflecting our concept and inspiration.
The concept was very well researched, however, the execution could have been better. The box in the end needed more neatness as well as the overall composition.

These images demonstrate that the mashrabiya is secluded and damp on the inside, however, it bursts with light from the outside.
I am going to create a planar 3d model of light bursting out.
I made the decision to base my abstract composition on the effect that a mashrabiya's light has.

Many purposes are served by the mashrabiya in conventional Arabic architecture.
Using the screen people within a building may view outside without being seen by those outside, which is one of the major purposes. The mashrabiya's shape also offers shade and ventilation, which helps to keep the interior cool in hot temperatures. The complex mashrabiya pattern also acts as a decorative element, enhancing the building's façade with beauty and personality. The mashrabiya was sometimes employed as a sign of wealth and status since it was expensive to make and install.
Ultimately, the mashrabiya is a significant component of traditional Arabic architecture because of its utilitarian uses and beautiful appearance.
A typical wooden lattice screen or window known as a mashrabiya—also written mashrabeya or mashrabiyya—can be seen in many homes and structures designed in an Arabic architectural style.
The mashrabiya's unique design enables concealment while yet let light and air to pass through. The screens are normally constructed of wood and decorated with geometric designs, frequently including Islamic calligraphy. In many contemporary structures in the Middle East and North Africa, the mashrabiya may still be seen. It has a rich history that dates back to ancient Mesopotamia.

Since i was already familiar with the six models we were supposed to do, this part did not consume my time. However, The word time was very complex to form into a composition.
Description:
Using the concepts and principles of 3dimensional design, we were required to express the term “TIME” abstractly, using 3-dimensional modeling principles and formal ordering systems.

The makeup classwork was a well-needed bump in the grades. It required to do the opposite of what we learned throughout the whole semester. A bump that made me release all the negative energy collected throughout the semester because of deadline pressures.
Very good composition and followed all the rules correctly with heirarchy.
Nylon is known to be very stretchy, which was one of my main struggles. I had too much nylon left over, and i added glue layers without water, which made a very thick layer that was moist and resulted in cracks.
The crack effect was a very nice addition, even though it was unintentional. The composition needed alot of improvement and work. Also, determine better techniques with the glue and more neatness.
Reflection:
This project required alot of planning before hand and preparations. The search for the right nylon stocking size was difficult, including the process of painting the nylon with several layers of glue for a more confined composition. However, it was very fun and i ended up with a great model.
Grading Feedback:
Great composition overall, however the texture could have been more spread out.

This make-up classwork was a little different. It required a little nature in order to composition a building. Since my human creatures were already children, i decided to go for a camping themed play like area.
Very good composition and followed all the rules, however, could have added more to it.
Our project was centered around mirrors, so we decided upon creating an outside smooth calming feel with an opposite of a creepy inside feel. Meaning anyone entering the inside of our composition would not see himself properly, which was the element of surprise.
Very nice mock-up with a good concept. However, it is important to pay attention to detail like closing up the corners of the model with 20cm mirrors.
Group projects are the most interesting since we bounce ideas off one another. The final result turned out great, however, we had hoped for the interior sheets to give off more the clumsy effect. We bought four 50cm mirrors that reached the height of 2m. And 20cm to close off the edges. Then, we taped the mirror-like sheets on the inside using foam in order to get the clumsy effect and for the mirror not to look flat. Finally, we spray painted the ground to give the wood color a clean effect.
Grading Feedback:
Overall, great effort.
