Bee Positive is a bee museum dedicated to awareness, research, and education, in an attempt to preserve the declining bee population. It focuses on the native bees of New Zealand in conjunction with introduced honey bees. Here, the architectural design intention aims to describe the life and biology of the bee through an interactive and informative experience, highlighting the current perils bees face in the current climate. The museum was created as a means to put a spotlight on native Aotearoa bees in particular, and why their preservation needs to be of priority for the sake of the native environment that they serve.
