I’m currently in my 43rd year of choral conducting, Eight years JHS/HS, two years community college, thirty one years university, twenty six years with two community choirs,conductedscoresofhonorchoirs,andsevenall-stategroups.
ACDA has provided a continuing font of inspiration for my professional life from my first nationalconferenceinthemid1980stotoday.
Selecting repertoire is one of my favorite things to do. I almost always find it challenging to whittle down the list of songs I’d like to do with my singers, because therearemanywonderfulpiecesthatoffersomuchtoourstudents.Iaimtoprovidea varietyofcontrastingpiecestomystudentsandaudiencesthroughouttheyear,soI’ve donethesameforyouinhopesthatyoucanfindoneormoreofthesepiecesthatwill fillaneed.Ihopeyouhaveawonderfulyearofmusicmaking!
