Considered by his peers to be one of the most influential figures in promoting modern poetry, Ezra Pound changed how we write and think about the world.

Founder of the Imagist movement, Pound's early work reflected classical Japanese and Chinese influences.

In the early 20th-century, Imagism was a movement that utilized precise and concise language. The use of imagery was used to convey a clear meaning. Pound believed that we should eliminate superfluous words and that adjectives should reveal something of importance.
