KEEPING THE SPIRIT ALIVE Thousands of people from all walks of life gathered at local war memorials on Tuesday as part of our national day of remembrance to commemorate all Australians and New Zealanders who served in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. On Monday, students from St Stephen’s Catholic College in Mareeba held their Anzac Day ceremony to pay their respects to those who served in the armed forces, with guest speaker Craig Freeman sharing his tear-jerking story of his time in the forces and what Anzac Day means to him.
