OUTRAGE OVER TREE CLEARING
Walkamin residents are outraged over the chopping down of large eucalyptus trees and shrubs that lined the Kennedy Highway, saying they were never consulted and are now exposed to unacceptable highway noise and lights. Residents of Hibiscus Street have demanded the tree clearing cease immediately and that the area be remediated with mature trees to replace what was lost. Pictured is Dr Carly Starr with a petition all the residents have signed. SEE STORY PAGE 2
