AFRICAN METHODIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH Fifth Episcopal District Presiding Prelate Fifth District AMEChurch Bishop Clement W. Fugh

Episcopal Supervisor Alexia B. Fugh

Pacific Northwest Conference Cascade District Presiding ElderReverend Spencer F. Barrett Cascade District First Lady Mary E. Barrett

•I am very grateful for the faithfulness of lay and clergy during the 2021-2022 year! We worked very hard to build God’s kingdom by continuing faithful service through social media platforms and through ministries beyond the walls of the local church. We have lost so many members through death and relocation to different areas. We have also struggled to reach out to our youth and young adults. But we have persevered through the grace given us by Jesus Christ. •This year God is calling us to make room for an increase! The scripture teaches us in Luke 6:38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” We have given and continue to give, and the word is teaching us that God see’s all that we do for the kingdom. • I propose that every church try to develop a program for youth! If you have no youth in your church, find you can some in your community. If you bless them with outreach programs, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they will bless you! • I propose that every church reach out to families in ways that make them feel welcome to your church. If you want your church to become their church, they must feel welcome and appreciated. •

Finally, I recommend each church provide social time for senior citizens so they can fellowship, do bible study and discuss issues related to their needs!

• I believe that these are some of the objectives every church can accomplish with a plan in place and a desire to build Gods Kingdom! God Bless you! PE Spencer F. Barrett
