Marcus celebrates the growing popularity of wool appliqué with Flower Box Friends, a new club program designed by Pastthyme Patterns! Based a program that proved popular in the shop, this 12-month club features a different wool appliqué flower block each month, divided into two 6-month Seasons.
Carrie Quinn and Katie Solberg of Pieceful Gathering Quilt Shop combine their favorite print motifs and warm color palettes in ARABELLA. The collection and BOM design are centered around a floral print from the Smithsonian Museum, supported with numerous prints from Carrie’s personal collection of antique quilts. Arabella is the name of the ship that their ancestors sailed on, from England to New England in 1630.
As a young girl, Margie Hockman was introduced to utilitarian quilts made by the ladies in her Bentonville, Virginia community. Margie’s father took her family to the Smithsonian where she saw her first whole cloth quilt. That whole cloth quilt inspired a lifetime legacy of quilt making. Now, at 88 years of age, Margie gathered inspiration from the many quilts in her private collection to create New Dawn, a pretty mix of small flowers and buds in strawberry reds and leafy greens with shades of cream.
The debut collection from quilter and collector Suzi Smith features a gorgeous palette of soft blues and butter yellow. Inspired by a signature quilt in my collection dated 1851-1854, it features stylized florals, vines and textures that are sure to create beautiful quilts with timeless appeal. The inspiration for Middleboro Road comes from one of the blocks that has Middleboro (traced to MA) inscribed under the signature.
Judie Rothermel brings us the scrappy goodness of Aunt Grace 1930s prints for 2025!
“I absolutely love this Collection of Aunt Grace!! The colors and the scale of the prints are right on, as they should always be -- I especially love the Scotty dogs! This group is perfect for any authentic Aunt Grace 1930’s type quilt design. My first thought when I saw the entire group together is a Miniature flower garden quilt, one of my favorites from this era.” And they’ll work equally well for your favorite Modern Vintage interpretations.
Sheryl Johnson’s newest collection, Patchwork Potpourri is inspired by a fragment of a quilt in the Smithsonian’s collection, dating 1830 - 1950. A mix of dusty pastels and faded blues, creams, pinks and greens give this collection a hint of nostalgia. The medley of allover geometrics, sweet florals and various stripes make the lead convenience pattern shine in quilts, home accessories and pretty dresses for girls of all ages!

Pam Buda just LOVES miniatures, as she explains: “Do you love making tiny blocks like I do? You may not like piecing them, but they sure are irresistible! You’re gonna love my new Cotton Thimbles Miniatures convenience fabric, inspired by one of my nineteenth century antique thimble quilts. I took prints directly from that quilt, adding a few others to create a wonderful miniature print line, complete with a miniature sized border print you can use several ways.”
Pam Buda treats quilters to a new palette inspired by the natural beauty of stone. “A stone cottage has many shades of gray, from very light to almost black. The stones also vary in the many textures worn into them over time from wind, water and the ground they laid in. At nightfall, they can even appear to be many hues of blue, providing further inspiration for my Stone Cottage collection.
You might already know that Dolores Smith named her business Timeworn Toolbox Designs to highlight her love of antiques that are worn looking or distressed. “And, then ‘Toolbox’ because I know my husband and best friend of 41 years can always fix just about anything I bring home, with his patience and his knowledge of construction. So, it was only fitting that when this line came to light the perfect name was Franklin House.”
Dawn Heese explains her latest inspiration: “I came across a piece of vintage purple Vichy in a basket of old lace. I had never seen Vichy in purple before and I thought it was so pretty and cheery. I loved the way it looked with all the different colors of old lace in the basket, from light cream to aged brown. I went to my basket of antique fabrics and started pulling together the pieces of the line.”
The softest flannel plaids, in the softest winter palette that pairs perfectly with Toolbox Basics by Timeworn Toolbox Designs. The smaller scale plaid and mini houndstooth motifs not only work beautifully together. But also with so many current Marcus cotton prints in quilts, decorative accents and creative clothing projects.
