Dawn Heese found her design inspiration at a flea market in France, “...where I discovered a small bundle of letters written by soldiers during the war. I knew I had to bring their stories to life through fabric. Digging into my collection of antique French textiles, I found a paisley print with heart-shaped motifs that seemed destined for this project.” The 9-month BOM program unfolds like a correspondence across time The debut collection from Kristina Trogdon of Quilt Verve.com blends vintage, bohemian florals, medallions, moonlight tones, varying scales large, medium, and small florals, textural dobby print, blenders for gradient design options. Kristina’s softly washed palette of navy, muted blues and neutrals gives an elegant boho effect to quilts, clothing, crafts and décor.
Yardley House by Timeworn Toolbox Designs Dolores Smith’s new antique-inspired group was named after her 4 year-old granddaughter. “Pink is one of her favorite colors, and when designing this line I came across an antique quiltI bought at one of the many quilt markets. It just has her all over it and the same with this line. Every time I look at the prints I see her confident, outspoken, strong, gentle, loving personality.” Carrie Quinn’s newest collection is “named for my sister, Anne, who was named after our great grandmother, Anna Bennett, Anna is a common name on the Swedish side of my family. Anna was born in Sweden in 1865, and came to America in 1880. During the early part of Anna’s life, the leaves of the indigo plant were used to dye fabric a beautiful colorfast blue, often associated with denim blues”. “Making Waves was inspired by my son, Benjamin Livingstone Solberg. Ben was the first boy born into our little family and much younger than his two sisters, so he made more than a few waves when he was born,” explains Katie Solberg. “He continues to make waves as a rambunctious six-year-old boy who is driving me nuts one minute and then showering me with kisses and cuddles the next.” As Pam Buda explains, “Some might even consider it the “black sheep” color of the quilting world. But, truth be told, black can do amazing things when paired with other colors. Interior designers say that every room should have a little black in it, and I think the same is true about quilts. Why not make a quilt entirely of black prints? A black border or black blocks can make the quilt pop just as it does in a room setting.” So, add a little depth and drama to your color palette! Sheryl Johnson’s newest collection is a playful and expressive take on the category of conversationals, a mix of light-ground fabrics designed to spark curiosity and tell a story. Her bold, quirky prints, nostalgic icons and whimsical illustrations invite a second glance, with each design telling its own little story and sparking smiles with every glance. Lynn designed it to feel as fresh and heartfelt today as it will a century from now — “…woven with love, shaped by grace, and wrapped in the warmth of vintage charm.”

Watching the snow fall through the window, seeing the neighborhood children making snowman and observing the bird feeders with the cardinals, then sitting by the fireplace drawing and sewing to make it all come to life.” Being a traditionalist, Pam Buda happily admits that “classic reds, greens and light prints are what my heart desires. Pineberry Lane makes my heart very happy! Warm, deep reds and greens and a beautiful variety of light prints will make gorgeous Christmas projects, and can also be used in any everyday project you’re making.” Cindy Staub presents her “favorite fabric line so far. I am a Halloween fanatic and start watching my spooky movie favorites as soon as there is a chill in the air. I remember as a child there being an old, abandoned house near the school yard (there’s one in every town!) and I imagined a few ghosts lurking about it. Now, as a family, we take time to carve pumpkins for Halloween and now my granddaughters join in on the fun.” Deb Grogan’s debut collection for Marcus brings a fresh twist to Halloween with a palette of purples, greens, blacks, and grays that feel both playful and a little mysterious.
