1,120t Mobile Boat Hoist

In the last few years, as the Shipbuilding and the Reft have been expanding, the Cimolai Technology engineering team has been working closely with its customers to develop even more technological and powerful machines. This has led to the construction of the largest Mobile Boat Hoist in the world with a capacity of 1,500t that is now operative in Mauritius. Recently the lifing evolution has also moved in the direction of Mega Yachts, to the point of being able to lif yachts as long as 80m. This is the case of the 1,120t Mobile Boat Hoist, the largest in Europe, operating in Baglietto’s shipyard in La Spezia (Italy). This machine was tested with 1,400t proving the expected high safety margins. The supplied Mobile Boat Hoist is a radiocontrolled machine with remote controls and features the sophisticated systems for controlling and checking the lifed weight and for balancing the load. It comprises 32 polyester lifing slings for a better and uniform grip on the boat, with a safety >>

factor (of the slings) higher than 7:1. Engine-wise, the total installed power is 500kW (680 Hp) with two powerful motors with advanced anti-pollution and smoke reduction systems and complying with European Stage V regulations. It is an innovative machine because it is characterised by a very high manoeuvrability thanks to the 32 allsteering wheels and to the electronic steering with microprocessor control. Furthermore, the Mobile Boat Hoist is equipped with a state-of-the-art supervision and control system, remote assistance module and is interconnected with client’s sofware systems.

New worldwide projects

Besides having recently completed this ambitious project, Cimolai Technology has just assembled a 880t Mobile Boat Hoist for the shipyard Esaom Cesa, in Portoferraio, in Italy. Currently Cimolai Technology is working on other important Mobile Boat Hoists that will be supplied before the end of the year, demonstrating the solidity, capability, and structure of Cimolai Technology. Some of these travel lifs include the 1,150t MBH for Papilas in Greece, the 880t MBH to be operated for Vittoria Yachts in Monfalcone (Italy) and other big size machines that will soon be working in Turkey, in Thailand, in the USA and in the Canary Islands.
