“Second life” machinery has always been part of the Marchesini Group business model, and with Rinova it is entrusted for the first time to a dedicated organisation with its own site and name. Rinova offers refurbished machines ready for customisation, meaning it is possible to offer solutions to meet specific customer requirements. The company is based in premises a short distance from the parent company’s headquarters in Pianoro, near Bologna, Italy. The site consists of two workshops totalling 3,500 m2, staffed by specialised technicians with decades of experience in the sector. We boast a 3,000 m2 warehouse of machines for refurbishment, allowing us to offer an extensive choice to meet the needs of our customers both in the primary and secondary sectors.

PURCHASE OF MACHINES FOR REVAMPING
A very important activity carried out by Rinova consists of purchasing Marchesini Group machinery which has been mothballed due to either its age or lack of use. After undergoing refurbishment, this machinery is offered to customers looking for sustainable solutions for their business which will offer a long production lifetime and are able to guarantee a safe and guaranteed investment in used machinery.
By following the requests from the market, above all those from customers, collections of used machinery are negotiated on a weekly basis. This creates mutual advantages, and once a financial agreement has been reached, a purchase order is sent by Rinova which an invoice must then be issued against. The cost for the collection and transportation of the machinery is borne by Rinova.
CUSTOMER OWNED MACHINES Another core activity of Rinova is refurbishing customer owned machines.
After a full assessment of the machinery, Rinova drafts a fully customised proposal for refurbishment of the machinery ready for a new lifetime of production, using only original Marchesini Group parts and components. Our goal is to establish a direct partnership between Rinova and the customer, with the goal of achieving a win-win situation which fully satisfies both.
RINOVA’S CUSTOMER MACHINERY REFURBISHMENT OFFERING The offering is therefore structured in such a way as to offer a customised revamping of both the mechanical and electrical components while maintaining the original features and performance. In addition, it is possible to have CE recertification carried out. Rinova fits only original spare parts and is the owner of the software, allowing it to provide direct service and support.
OBSOLESCENCE This is a very important and customer-focused aspect. Undertaking this activity keeps the customer safe from any issues which can arise with machinery which is already dated. Having a machine stoppage due to a fault with an obsolete component results in the line being shut down for an indeterminate time, with financial and production losses. Not to mention obsolescence of materials which are no longer manufactured.
