Hilyard St.
N The design of The Manor originated from the concept of establishing a strong gradient between public and private spaces. Guided by this principle, the integration of outdoor areas was achieved through a thoughtful interplay of solid and void forms. To accommodate the expansive spaces and enhance their usability, a sloped roof was introduced, strategically expanding areas where residents are most likely to gather. This roof design also serves a
functional purpose by directing rainwater to a single collection point, optimizing water management. Finally, the outdoor environment surrounding the building was carefully planned to balance private spaces for residents with more communal, public outdoor areas, fostering a harmonious blend of intimacy and community.
