SKYHAWKS - Volleyball
Skyhawks Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled camp. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on passing, setting, hitting, and serving. This coed program is designed for the beginner to intermediate player and will incorporate essential life lessons such as teamwork and sportsmanship. This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressional curriculum, we focus on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Trailblazers Winter Running Club
Trailblazers’ winter runs are about getting outside and running in the PNW weather. Rain, snow, sleet, whatever the weather, it won’t stop us. You don’t have to be fast. It’s not competitive. It’s about your runner(s) getting out there and exercising! Depending on each group’s ability, we will run/jog around 3-5.5 miles. Wednesdays will be a fun night run! Please bring a headlamp or flashlight on Wednesday evenings and meet at Summit Park’s Picnic shelter. Saturday’s class will meet at 10:30am, and runs will explore different sites! Coach Pitch League
Step up to the plate in our coed Coach Pitch baseball league! This league will keep the fun rolling for 7-8-year-olds while continuing to improve baseball fundamentals: catching, fielding, throwing, and hitting. The team’s coach will throw pitches, and a batting tee will be used for players not ready to make contact. Team size is limited to 10 players, with everyone participating! Dirt and bling, it’s a softball thing! Slowpitch softball is an excellent introduction to the sport of softball and fastpitch. Improv is the form of theater, often comedic, in which most or all of what is performed is unscripted and created spontaneously by the performers. This one day workshop will cover the basics of photography and familiarize you with your camera. There will be a strong emphasis on lighting, composition, and your camera’s shooting modes, enabling you to capture GREAT images. Meet the Instructor: Jamie Mitchell picked up the camera in 1975 when his daughter was born and is still going strong. He has been shooting professionally for 40 years, covering many types of photography, and his work is accredited by the NCAA and Pro Sports. Jamie has also had success in nature and people-related photography services. His first sold and published image was to Kodak. He has been instructing photography for 20 years and finds it rewarding to share his passion. Jamie hopes to get you excited to use your camera more or one for the first time. Meet the Instructor: Jordan Bye has been passionate about art his entire life and has been professionally painting since 2013. In addition to spreading art for all to enjoy, Jordan’s goal as an artist is to better understand mental health and to create spaces of healing through color therapy and curiosity. Start your puppy off on the right “paw” with proper first experiences during the critical socialization periods of puppyhood. Get ready to bump, set, and spike your way through the winter in our Winter Volleyball League! As the temperature drops, the competition heats up, making it the perfect season for volleyball enthusiasts. In this league, teams comprised of 3 males and 3 females will have 8 matches, with the top-performing teams earning the chance to compete in the playoffs. We offer two divisions to cater to different skill levels: the recreational division and the competitive division for those seeking a challenging experience. The league comes complete with referees to keep the games fair and competitive, and exclusive champion’s t-shirts for the team that rises to the top.
