Kidz Love Soccer Classes

All levels are welcome to enjoy learning the world’s most popular sport! Kidz Love Soccer provides positive framework whereby all players are nurtured, built up, and developed as young athletes.

A typical class session includes age-appropriate soccer activities: warm up, skill introduction, fun games and instructional scrimmages conducted in a non-competitive, recreational format led by the professional KLS staff.

The fun happens on the field, so don’t just watch from the sidelines! Here is a chance to join your toddler’s introduction to the world’s most popular sport. Chase the ball! Tot-Soccer helps kids learn to be part of a structured group activity without a parent by their side. Realizing this can be difficult for young children, our field-tested, age-specific curriculum builds confidence and promotes physical development in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Tot Soccer focuses on helping kids develop their large motor skills through skill demonstrations and entertaining games like Bugs in the House! These games build skill and self-esteem and prepare tots to start running and kicking like big kids.

Learning basketball has never been more fun! These classes focus on dribbling, shot technique, passing, and teamwork. Adjustable hoops and appropriately sized basketballs always provide the right amount of challenge. Parent participation is required for children aged 3-3.5 years.

This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning to intermediate players. Using our progressional curriculum, we focus on the whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Skyhawks - Golf Class

Skyhawks Beginning Golf is powered by Payne Stewart Golf Experiences, the recommended entry-level golf program for PGA Junior Golf Camps. The unique, games-based play program and modified learning equipment make it easier for kids to hit the ball and experience early success. Putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing are all taught through games, simple repetitive motions, and learning rhymes that make it easy for young kids to remember and repeat. Specially designed, ageappropriate golf equipment is provided.

Skyhawks baseball takes the game’s rich history from Cooperstown to your town. Our progressional curriculum teaches the fundamentals of fielding, catching, throwing, hitting, and base running in a fun, positive environment by local Skyhawks staff. Grab your tennis racquet and hit the court with us this summer! Our youth beginner and intermediate tennis lessons will help improve your tennis skills and develop a love for tennis. Lessons are tailored for all abilities and helps players build friendships and learn skills they will use forever. Players will learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys and serves during a series of drills and games designed to teach the game in a fun way! Court space is limited and early registration is encouraged. Intermediate tennis lessons are built for players already equipped with tennis building blocks. Players will continue refining proper grips, footwork, volleys, and serves while turning up the competition to the next level. Each lesson features fun games with a little more competition!

Trailblazers Track and Field

Our mission is to develop young athletes in the fundamentals of track and field events while having FUN! This program will work on the next level of training. Athletes will have the option to participate in track and field meets on Saturdays with other local city parks and recreation teams. This will give them experience in competing against other teams and seeing their progress. The Track Meet Events may include 50m dash (5/6yo), 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m. Competing in the post-season USATF TAF Jr. Olympics is also an option.

Does your child like to laugh? Does your child like to make others laugh? If so, then join Kids Act Drama Club Improv Comedy Class! Improv is the form of theater, often comedic, in which most or all of what is performed is unscripted and created spontaneously by the performers. Play at the net in our adult tennis league! Players rated 2.0-3.0 are encouraged to register for this league and play singles matches this summer. Women’s Over 30 Pickleball League

It’s pickling season, and our Women’s O30 Pickleball League is ready to cook! League play will consist of doubles matches, with the best 2-of-3 games scoring 11 points (must win by 2). The league fee is $100 per team, with only team registrations accepted. The Pickleball League will be self-officiated, and players will be expected to conduct themselves with dignity and respect on and off the court.

Our very popular singlewall softball bat adult coed softball league returns this summer. Two divisions are offered: Competitive (Tuesday) and Recreational (Monday). Games will begin at 6:10/7:20/8:30pm. The league is complete with umpires, playoffs and champion t-shirts. Males must swing Singlewall softball bats only. Females can swing composite bats. Women’s Bollywood Dance

Women only in this fun-filled Bollywood Dance class. This class begins with a warm-up, which includes the basic Bollywood moves followed by stepby-step choreography set to Bollywood music. The combination of steps participants learn will strengthen their awareness of musical flow, timing, spacing, and precision. The participants will establish a strong movement foundation while developing confidence, coordination, posture, and grace. Comfortable attire is recommended, and going barefoot works best. Kindergarten Puppy Training

Start your puppy off on the right “paw” with proper first experiences during the critical socialization periods of puppyhood. This course introduces the learning and training process for puppies aged eight weeks to five months. Your puppy will learn to heel on a leash, come when called, sit, and down stays. You can also earn your AKC STAR certificate. STAR = Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsible owner.

Beginner Dog Obedience

A class for the family pet of all breeds. Dogs are taught to heel on a leash, come when called, sit and down stays, and more. Maple Valley Community Choir

Maple Valley Community Choir is a non-auditioned, coed, multigenerational singing group designed for young adults and the young at the heart of all singing abilities. Making a joyful choral sound and singing harmony with your friends and neighbors is one of the most rewarding collaborative experiences. We will work on two and three-part piano and instrumental, accompanied chorale works from all genres. Come sing with us as we explore some beautiful, familiar, and newer music together in harmony. Some solo work will be highlighted and we will be warmly encouraging, so feel at ease singing with us. We will look for opportunities to perform our newly learned repertoire at local events and for a final concert at the end of our session. Come join our choir!

Meet the Instructor: Jackie Edwards has been a musician all her life starting at age 5 at the piano. She quickly became involved in her school choirs leading sectionals and warming up the choir. She was fully immersed in the music and theatre programs at Pacific Lutheran University, and was accompanist for several musical productions there, as well as singing in the chorale under direction of Ed Harmic. After graduating with a BFA in theatre, she performed in many local ensembles and musicals all over the Northwest and California. In 2015 she and her husband Phil embarked on an incredible adventure teaching high school music and drama in Tianjin and X’ian China. She also taught choral music in Bangkok Thailand before the pandemic sent them back to the US. She has always loved choral music in all its forms and is so excited to start this musical journey with other music lovers in the community. No audition necessary just bring your enthusiasm and love of singing! Let’s make a choir!

This weekly photography class will utilize the beautiful surroundings of Lake Wilderness Park. We will focus on nature photography techniques to improve your travel photography skills. With the return of warm weather and longer days, we will catch all the blooms and budding foliage. Bicycle Maintenance Class

Have you ever been stuck with a flat bike tire or brakes that wouldn’t work as they should? This four-day course will teach you the basics of bicycle maintenance. It will teach you how to fix a flat tire, replace brake pads, and adjust other lines, and it will cover proper safety measures, including helmet fitting. After completing this course, you will know how to keep your bike road-worthy. Bicycle Rescue for Youth will have bikes to work on as part of their bicycle refurbishment/donation program.

Meet the Instructor: Brad has served as the Executive Director of Bicycle Rescue for Youth for the past nine years, dedicating a decade to hands-on work with bicycles. Prior to this, he enjoyed a 37-year tenure as a mechanical designer at Boeing before entering retirement. He firmly believes in the enhanced pleasure of cycling when one rides a well-maintained bicycle. A core mission of Bicycle Rescue is to empower both young people and adults with the knowledge and skills needed for essential bike maintenance, ensuring their rides are both safe and in excellent condition. The upcoming workshop will cover essential topics including proper adjustment of bike and helmet for optimal fit, techniques for fixing flat tires, and the intricacies of brake maintenance, including replacement and fine-tuning, among other important skills.

Fly Fishing 101- Foundation

Have you dreamed of casting a fly line to enjoy PNW fishing but didn’t know where to start? Rusty, after a long hiatus, and need to brush up on your skills? Fly Fishing 101 is for you! Acquire the basic knowledge and techniques to set the foundation for your fly fishing journey. You will learn what gear you need and how it works, types of lines and leaders, essential knots to set up your rig, different kinds of flies and when to use them, how fly casting works, and drills you can use to hone your craft. All equipment for this course is provided. Just sign up and turn that dream into reality!

Fly Fishing 201 - Casting

A day to learn and a lifetime to master! Proper casting is one of the most important skills a fly fisher must have to be successful. Being in the right location, at the right time, with the best gear available does not matter if the fly doesn’t get to the fish. Fortunately, with some knowledge, coaching, and practice, you can deliver a fly into prime spots and make great memories. Learn how a fly rod and line deliver your fly on target, the three essentials to proper fly casting, how to load a rod to create loops, line management, the pickup and laydown cast, and backyard drills to help you become a great fly fisher!

Using specialized parkour blocks for safe training, your child will conquer fun obstacle courses, learning new skills to move rapidly and safely through rugged terrain. I-9 Sports will ignite your child’s interest in multiple sports. Sports camps focus on fundamentals, real game play and most importantly FUN!

i9 Sports values sportsmanship & teamwork. Every child is a winner! All campers will be individually recognized during the camp by the instructors for demonstrating good sportsmanship!

THE BIG GAME EXPERIENCE:

Campers will learn skills and drills that prepare them for a real game experience. They will have a chance to scrimmage every day, and on the last day of the camp, the players will form teams to play a real game or round-robin format! Coached by i9 Sports staff, the focus will be on FUN, equal playing time and instruction!

We work with players of all skill levels focusing on positioning, throwing, catching, fielding and hitting. There will be daily skill-based drills with games to reinforce the skills. Group assignments will determine teams based on grade level and overall skill.

i9 Basketball Camp - Half Day

We work with players of all skill levels in this afternoon only basketball camp to develop fundamentals of the game, focusing on dribbling, passing, triple-threat, offense, defense, & shooting. There will be daily skill-based drills with games to reinforce the skills. Group assignments will be determined by grade and skill levels. We’ll see you on the court! Non-marking, flat-soled court shoes are highly recommended.

i9 Multi-Sport Camp - Half Day

Get your little ones started on the right foot in the sports world, even if they have the left shoe on it! This camp is an introduction to sports for your 4-5 year old and focuses on a combination of sports which may include flag football, soccer, t-ball and other fun games for young athletes. This camp is designed to help each child ignite a passion for sports while building their confidence, developing social connections and having fun through learning and game play. Child must be fully potty-trained and able to communicate needs to instructors. Ages 4 - 5

Get your Summer kicks with i9 Sports! Our morning soccer camp is perfect for any child who wants to work on their basic soccer fundamentals or just have some fun with their friends! Players of all talent levels are welcome, with instruction focused on fundamentals such as ball-handling, passing, shooting and teamwork to build their skill set and passion for the sport. There will be daily skill-based drills with games to reinforce the skills. Group assignments will be determined by grade and skill levels. We’ll see you on the field!

Camp Wild

Camp Wild offers weekly themes to create a new and fun experience for children ages 6-11. Each week features two action-packed special events. Campers are introduced to a variety of activities that are based on the week’s theme, as well as everyday favorites such as swimming, boating, archery lessons, scavenger hunts, geocaching, guest speakers, arts and crafts, games, nature walks, arboretum tours and so much more.

Before and after care is available from 7:30am-9:00am and 4:00pm-5:30pm for an addtional fee.

NEW: We have partnered with ePACT to collect emergency information and facilitate secure sign-in and sign-out procedures at this camp. More details will be provided after registration.

Due to demand, campers will be limited to a maximum of four (4) weeks of Camp WILD.

Game Development - Sprite Lab

Use Code.org to create intricate 2-D video games with various challenges to play with family and friends! Choose graphic elements to “create a theme,” and begin to learn the storytelling parts of game development! Suitable for basic to intermediate-level coders! Campers who also take the afternoon “Intermediate Mega Movies” session will be supervised over the lunch hour at no additional cost to make for a full day of adventures!

Is it real or virtual reality? Create immersive videos that combine animation and live-action elements that can be viewed in a 360 world using VR goggles! Incorporate into your video a few fire-breathing dragons, pirates, fairies, ogres, zombies, pterodactyls, forest creatures, or pretty much anyone you can imagine! Campers who register for the morning session of “Game Coding ‘Easter Eggs’ “will receive supervision during the lunch hour at no additional cost to make for a full day of adventures!
