The SOUTHEAST ASIAN MEDIA STUDIES ASSOCIATION (SEAMSA) is an international, non-profit, non-government community of academics, researchers, media practitioners, and institutions who are actively committed to the study and research on the mass media of the Southeast Asian region, which is comprised of the countries Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste, and Viet Nam.

It was founded in 2017 by a group of young media scholars from the region, SEAMSA has aimed to be at the forefront of Southeast Asian media studies and research.

The members of SEAMSA were being invited to the mini symposium to gain more expertise from the 3 guest speakers. In the symposium, both of our team members and SEAMSA stand to benefit alot such as, they get to incrase their brand visibi;ity, while our team get to learn more from their overview towards Public Relations during the phase of Q&A Session

The mission of SEAMSA is to contribute to the promotion, growth, development, and popularization of the study and research of Southeast Asian mass media. While our mission are to provide an industry outlook of Public Relations as well to show the importance and transparency of a PRP's conduct. Hence, since both of the parties seem to share the similar values, this opportunity has set the stage for a successful collaboration

Encourage the confidence of current PR students to let them know that PR is crucial in every sector. Major businesses and companies do have a PR department that oversees sensitive issues and will prevent any misunderstanding

Provide an industry outlook. A PR student might be wonderinghowthePRindustryconductsitswork.Thiswill inspire them to work hard towards the goals they have set.

To show that PR conducts work with ideal transparency and involves being open and fluid when it comes to sharinginformationwiththeclientorpublic.

Understand the value of PR and its concept of it. Get to have an insight into how the actual industry works

How being transparent is important in the PR field. How PR sustainability plays important roles in every business
