Youth forum up in arms against project recruitment processes! REST IN PEACE MSHOZA
A construction company appointed to build two streets in the Ratanda Extension 7 was also awarded an extension to construct a road in one of the streets in Tokolohong Agri-village. As good as the development project sounds, the community living in Tokolohong has expressed their dissatisfaction with how things are being done. “One of the recommendations made by the so called ‘street committee’ was that they will only hire people who reside in the street that is to be constructed of which ultimately they did. The protesting group met with the contractor on Tuesday and questioned the recruitment process. “We then recommended and resolved that the recruitment process must be transparent and fair hence a ‘Fuduwa’ was facilitated by Tokolohong Youth Forum Leader Teboho Hlanguza and various young leaders who were representing various structures. On Wednesday, 10 people were hired on site and the process unfolded before the general public.

Since the recruitment, the development site has resumed operations.
According to the forum, they were left with no choice but to shutdown the site on Friday (November 12) until their issues are attended to.
