WE WISH YOU hAPPY HOLIDAYS!
T
his year has been a year full of activities and events that will lay a foundation for the upcoming year. We have witnessed life-changing moments, projects that play a major role in ordinary lives and real-life stories from our Southern-Gauteng readers.
In 2016, the newspaper will become a multi-media platform, migrating from the original print media to an expanded new digital website. The printed newspaper will be still going strong, with a promise of more ‘people-centered’ approach to reporting and writing. Mapepeza will start telling the untold stories of ordinary people in this country, supporting all points of view. Advertising budgets will be maximized to get the best leads, using the print and digital media at the same time, at Gogo Lena Mmola (117) shows her gratitude towards Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Cllr Mondli Gungubele, along with the MMC very affordable and lasting rates.

Another major surprise is the name change to the newspaper. Mapepeza Community Newspaper will now be called Mapepeza Newspaper, reflecting the major changes to take place next year. Mapepeza CN offices will be closed from Monday, December 21 until Monday January 4 next year. We hope to keep serving our communities with the latest local news and stories from people from all walks of life. On behalf of the team, we’d like to send our gratitude and festive season cheers to our printing partners, contributors, content creators, existing and post-advertising clients, media relations personnel, and communicators across the industry. A special thanks to all readers of Mapepeza CN. Your support towards a media that true image of a democratic society has been humbling. - The Editor
