Our Mission Manzano Day School is dedicated to innovative child-centered education, excellence in teaching, and Joy in Learning® to prepare children for a life of discovery and community involvement in our diverse world.
Manzano Day School At A Glance Throughout our campus, the sound of laughter and expressions of joy serve as a testament to the happiness that Manzano Day School brings to our community. Teachers balance meaningful lessons with playful exploration inside classrooms, unlocking each student's academic potential. Our curriculum blends deep-rooted traditions with modern innovations and advances in technology. We adapt to a changing world while honoring the collective memories generations of families share. We are a community of students, families, educators, volunteers, and leaders who continue to build and strengthen who we are at our core. Beneath it all is a long history of support from our donors. A Letter From our Head of School Dear Manzano Day School Supporters, I am delighted to present the Gratitude Report for 2022-2023 for Manzano Day School. As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with gratitude for our school community's unwavering support and dedication. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones and continue to impact the lives of our students positively. Here are a few highlights from the year: Academic Achievements: We are proud to report significant accomplishments in academic excellence. Our dedicated board, faculty, and staff participated in a self-study culminating in a successful reaccreditation visit from the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest. Community Engagement: Our school continued to strengthen its ties with the Albuquerque community through various initiatives. Students participated in community service projects for Saranam, Roadrunner Food Bank, the Barelas Senior Center, Locker 505, and the Veterans Integration Center. Financial Overview: We are grateful for the generosity of our donors and supporters, who have played a crucial role in ensuring the financial sustainability of Manzano Day School. Your contributions have allowed us to maintain and improve our facilities. During the summer of 2023, we successfully updated the roof over the meadow classrooms. We completed this significant project with the support of current and past donors. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, committed board members, and generous donors. Your collective efforts have made a significant difference. Congratulations to our 2023 Good Apple Award Recipient, Ms. Louise Junick. Louise is a beloved Manzano Day School community member and was a dedicated teacher at the school for over 40 years. At Manzano Day School, we foster a diverse and inclusive community. The Wings Scholarship Program is one of the cornerstones of our commitment to opening our doors to families who cannot afford a Manzano Day School education. Thanks to our donors, proceeds from the annual golf tournament have been able to provide scholarships to families in need. Each Wings scholarship is guaranteed for the entirety of a student's education while at Manzano Day School. Once the recipient graduates, the scholarship is passed on to a newly enrolled student, continuing perpetually. Having Wings Scholarship recipients as part of our community benefits the recipients, the entire student body, and the wider Albuquerque community.

22nd Annual Wings Golf Tournament Benefiting the Wings Scholarship Program
Manzano Day School’s 22nd Annual Golf Tournament was a success, raising over $73,000 for the Wings Scholarship Program. The event was held at Sandia Golf Club, with Buckingham Barrera Vega Law Firm and KOB as Co-Presenting Sponsors. Golfers had the chance to win exciting raffle prizes, including four Member’s Club passes to the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament. The tournament sold out all sponsorships available for the first time and was able to provide scholarships for children with limited economic resources through the Wings program.
