Hello Manteca!

Monday-Thursday 7:30a - 6:00p linktr.ee/MantecaRecreation

295 Cherry Lane, Manteca 95337

Fall has officially arrived and with it comes a new season packed with opportunities to connect, create, and celebrate. As the days grow cooler and the leaves begin to change, our team is proud to bring you a full lineup of recreation programs, events, and experiences designed for everyone in our community.

This summer was one to remember. Our 3rd annual Park-a-Palooza drew our biggest crowd yet, featuring three incredible live bands, carnival rides, and a diverse selection of food trucks that had something for everyone. Each year, this event gets bigger and better, and that’s a direct reflection of the creativity, passion, and hustle our team brings to the table.

Our Junior Giants program also knocked it out of the park again with over 500 young athletes and hundreds of volunteers coming together to create an unforgettable season. It remains one of my favorite programs and continues to be a shining example of what community is all about.

September s Music on Maple finale celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with flair featuring vibrant folkloric dancers, a mariachi band, a classic car show, and high-energy Latin music. It was a powerful night of culture, music, and unity that we ll be talking about for a long time.

Looking ahead, October brings more fall fun with our final Music on Maple of the year and the return of our community-favorite Trunk or Treat, happening downtown on Saturday, October 25th And don t forget our Halloween House Decorating Contest is back, so start planning your spooky displays or nominate your favorite neighborhood haunt!

As we roll into the holiday season, our calendar is bursting with festive cheer From Christmas at the Center and our beloved Tree Lighting Ceremony, to giving campaigns like Angel Tree and Stuff the Bus, there are countless ways to celebrate and give back this year Our Christmas House Decorating and Coloring Contests will also help bring out the magic of the season

One event I’m especially excited about is the debut of our Farm to Fork celebration an event that showcases Manteca’s agricultural roots and local flavor. I m so proud of our team for their leadership in bringing this new experience to life.

We also want to give a warm welcome to our new Recreation & Parks Commissioners! Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives are already helping us shape a vibrant future for Manteca’s parks and programs.

Whether you re signing up for a class, bringing the family to a seasonal event, or simply enjoying one of our many beautiful parks, this fall is full of ways to get involved, stay active, and make memories. Let s finish 2025 strong together.

Warm Regards, Brandy Clark Recreation & Community Services Manager bclark@manteca.gov

On May 6, 2025, the Manteca City Council approved the renaming of Lincoln Park to Marion Elliott Park, with the dedication ceremony taking place on August 6, 2025. Mr. Elliott, a resident of Manteca for more than 80 years, was a graduate of Manteca High School, an inductee into the Manteca Hall of Fame, and served with distinction as a teacher and administrator in the Manteca Unified School District

He further contributed to the community as the City’s Recreation Director from 1958–1972, where he established the first adult softball league and served as President of Manteca Babe Ruth Baseball. The City of Manteca is honored to recognize Marion Elliott as a pioneer of recreation and a lasting champion of parks and community services.
