caprice gollaway Senior Services Supervisor SINCE 2012 DUTIES Leading the team planning and running all senior educational and enrichment programs at the MAC

SIMPLY REMARKABLE! We’re proud to announce that Mansfield Parks and Recreation was named the 2024 Texas Recreation and Park Society Gold Medal winner! This is the most prestigious award given by the state agency, with only one winner in each of five population classes. The Gold Medal recognizes overall excellence and growth, and agencies can only apply once every three years.

This is Mansfield’s FIFTH time to win the honor, undoubtedly thanks to our incredible team, strong support from our City Council and City leadership, and, of course, our passionate and dedicated residents who motivate us to keep innovating and improving.

We were also honored to receive two additional state awards at the March ceremony: the Promotions and Marketing Excellence Award for the three-ring ribbon cutting ceremony and the Arts and Humanities Award for the Read & Grow Book Reading event.

PROJECT UPDATES Work is progressing and dirt is flying on park projects across the city. MEMBERSHIP

MAC MEMBERSHIP FAQ

• Each member of the family 2Y+ must have their own MAC card to participate in programs where membership is required.

• MAC cards must be scanned at the front desk on each visit.

• An annual waiver must be signed each time a membership is purchased or renewed.

• Membership is good for 12 months from the date of purchase.

• Proof of residency is required (i.e. drivers license.) Membership is open to anyone regardless of residency; membership rates are based on Mansfield residency.

• Family membership includes up to six family members who live at the same address. Additional family members are $5 each.

• See front desk for information about recreation scholarships and fee assistance.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

• MAC membership is required for Kids Zone and any recreation programs held at the Mansfield Activities Center.

• Membership is not required for special events but members may be eligible for special discounts.

• MAC membership is required for participation in Senior Lifestyles.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• Mansfield Parks and Recreation may cancel, postpone or combine courses, or change instructors as deemed necessary.

• Classes which do not meet minimum requirements two business days prior to the start date may be canceled.

• Weather-dependent programs will have a hold/cancel decision made at least 1 hour prior to the start time.
