HOW DO I...

JOIN THE MAC? Membership is required to register for MAC programs or rent the MAC. Go to mansfieldparks.com and select Find a Class, then create an account and purchase a membership. See page 20.

RENT A ROOM OR PARK PAVILION? MAC rooms and park pavilions make a great destination for your next celebration! Turn to page 21 for more details, or visit mansfieldparks.com and select Rentals. Park spaces can be rented online; MAC rooms must be rented in person.

Classes are registered by the month unless otherwise indicated with no minimum commitment or contract. SIGN UP FOR CLASSES? Found the perfect class? Register online by scanning the code at the bottom of the page or go to mansfieldparks.com and select Find a Class, then search the title. An online account is required to use the website; if you’ve never registered before just follow the prompts on the site to create your family profile, then add classes to your shopping cart and check out when you’re ready.

MAC members save $2 on Nature Education programs. Register online to save 5% on fees anytime, or sign up for all of your classes on discount day to save an additional 10%!

Take your taste buds on a journey around the world with Mansfield Public Library’s Spice Club! Each month will feature a spice with two recipes (enough spice will be provided to accommodate both recipes), a little history of the spice, and additional resources available at the library for you to explore. At the end of each quarter, meet with fellow participants to discuss your experiences!

SEED LIBRARY

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or beginner just starting out, Mansfield Public Library’s Seed Library is for you! Our collection contains over 160 varieties of non-genetically modified (non-GMO) herb, vegetable, and flower seeds free of charge to the community. Browse our collection and “check out” up to two packets of seeds per day, per person. No library card is required!

BOOK US!

Did you know MPL’s mobile tech truck comes equipped with everything staff need to take library services to community events, host diverse programs offsite, and create new services for the citizens of Mansfield? The tech truck provides all kinds of services to the Mansfield community. Interested in having the tech truck visit your location? Visit our website to find out how to request the tech truck at your event!

DREAM DELIVERY

DREAM Delivery is available to patrons who may be classified as “homebound” due to temporary or permanent mobility impairments. The library’s tech truck will be used to transport items to Mansfield residents who are unable to visit the library.

Interested eligible residents may obtain a paper application from the library or fill out the application online.

GAMING STATION

It’s game on at the Mansfield Public Library! Gamers of all ages can enjoy Mansfield Public Library’s new Gaming Station anytime the library is open. Simply visit the front desk to check out a controller and headphones with your library card. Up to four players can use the Gaming Station at one time. All ages are welcome, but adult supervision may be required for young gamers. The Mansfield Public Library Gaming Station is located in the Teen section of the library.

i9 Sports offers organized co-ed, 5 on 5 youth basketball focusing on fun, age appropriate skills and safe play. This is a great way to introduce the sport or just enjoy a lowpressure, sportsmanship-centric experience. All skill levels are welcome and there are no fundraisers. Practices and games are held on Saturdays at the MAC. MAC card not required. All registration is done through i9 Sports.com.

There’s a reason martial arts have been a staple of fitness routines for centuries... they’re an incredible way to stay healthy, build strength and have fun, all while learning invaluable focus, discipline and stress relieving techniques!

The MAC is proud to offer a variety of martial arts classes for both kids and adults, so the whole family can learn and grow together.

DAILY ACTIVITY SCHEDULE MONDAY

Senior programs are finally back at the MAC! Our staff is thrilled to see our favorite familiar faces again, and have been welcoming in a steady stream of new ones as well. Please check the schedule as a few items have changed, but most programs, including meals and bus service, are operating on the normal routine.

Senior Lifestyles programs are held weekdays at the Mansfield Activities Center and open to all area seniors age 55+. Annual MAC membership is required, but can be purchased for as little as $10/ year. Membership and program registration is available online at mansfieldparks.com, then select ‘Find a Class,’ or visit the MAC in person during regular hours, weekdays 9am-9pm or Saturday 9am-4pm.

DALLAS BLOOMS AT THE ARBORETUM Dallas Bloom’s theme this year is “America the Beautiful’’. Their spring festival will showcase an explosion of color from spring bulbs, blooming blossoms, azaleas and Japanese cherry trees.

• Each member of the family 2Y+ must have their own MAC card to participate in programs where membership is required.

• MAC cards must be scanned at the front desk on each visit.

• An annual waiver must be signed each time a membership is purchased or renewed.

• Membership is good for 12 months from date of purchase.

• Proof of residency is required (drivers license). Membership is open to anyone regardless of residency; membership rates are based on residency (76063 zip code) or non-residency.

• Family is defined as up to six members living at one address.

Additional family members are $2 each.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
