Dear School Community, Thank you to everyone for your contribution to our school during 2025. We value the diversity of experiences and ideas that exist within our student, parent, and staff body, and we are grateful for the many perspectives that make our community what it is.

We are thrilled to share a significant milestone in the history of our school.

Following a successful year of planning and collaboration, we are delighted to announce that Mansfield Steiner School has secured the acquisition of the Mansfield Autism Statewide Service (MASS) property at 81 Highett St.

Through a successful capital grant application with the Victorian Independent Schools Building Grants Authority (VISBGA), supported by Federal Government funding, we have secured the resources to purchase and renovate this historic property. We anticipate opening the doors to this new facility in late 2026.

A New Home for Music and Creativity Our vision is to transform the MASS building into a vibrant Music Hub. This dedicated precinct will feature five practice rooms, rehearsal spaces, and classrooms, giving our music program the acoustic home it deserves.

Enhancing the Entire Campus

This expansion is about more than just one building; it unlocks potential across our entire campus:

Wellbeing & Learning Support

Relocating music tuition from Merton Hall allows us to reimagine the library, creating dedicated spaces for Wellbeing and Learning Support.

Curriculum Growth

The additional classroom space enables us to introduce an alternative IB Mathematics subject in 2026 and expand our secondary subject offerings.

Space to Play

The acquisition increases our street frontage and grounds, relieving pressure on the oval and securing critical space for play, parking, and future access. This acquisition aligns perfectly with our strategic plan to secure adjacent land for the future growth of our school. We are honoured to be the custodians of a facility with such a long history of serving Mansfield’s educational needs, and we look forward to giving it a new life.
