THE MESSENGER

Term 3 Week 1 Friday 19 July 2024

Dear School Community,

Welcome back! We hope your children had a restful break and that your family has a warm and productive Term 3. Thank you to parents who have signed up to help with the ski program. Hopefully, the forecast snow materializes before our students start skiing next week! There are still opportunities to help. Please contact Sally in the office if you are keen to head to Stirling with a group even if it’s not your child’s class. Information about required ski gear was sent via Sentral on Monday 8th July. Please doublecheck that your children have the items they need for a safe and comfortable day on the snow.

Stirling Experience is conducting a Family Discovery Day on Sunday 21st July which is a great way to learn how to assist students with cross-country skiing and to familiarise yourself with the mountain. RSVP to info@stirlingexperience.com.au

extending their skills. Four primary students attended mountain biking events, while two of our Year 10’s sailed from Cairns to Townsville on a youth training voyage and another two Year 10’s attended a leadership program in Sydney, kindly sponsored by the Bendigo Bank. We had four students run at the State Cross Country Championships on Thursday, well done all! Coming up, seven Year 10 students will be heading to France on exchange in August. We can be proud of these students for challenging themselves in these vastly different fields of endeavor and look forward to hearing their stories.

We look forward to seeing you at the Parent Information Evenings and hope you have an enjoyable Winter.
