Kimberly Loomis is the owner of Urban Posh Salon, a vegan, cruelty-free, carbonneutral salon that has gender-free pricing and good vibes only. Her goal is to help clients feel more beautiful in their own skin while shaking up the salon’s status quo in a judgment-free zone. Kimberly is an industry icon being recognized for both Top 100 behind-the-chair salon and Top 100 in the world colorist with Davines Talent Greenhouse. Kimberly has also been published in several magazines (including ManocoBlue ;)), and more recently she has the opportunity to create in NY fashion week. With all of these accomplishments, Kimberly is the most humble and fun-loving person that you will ever meet. Walking into her space, you truly feel instantly welcomed and valued.
At an early age, Kimberly always loved being creative and enjoyed all different forms of art. Kimberly went from coloring Barbie doll hair with her mother’s eye shadows to attending a vocational school and starting her career. Kimberly later managed a few corporate salons and finally found her home and opened an

She holds the brands that she carries to a high standard, making sure that all products are inline with her core ethos of life and are exclusively professional, performing how and when she needs them to. Kimberly is also a Green Circle Salon and thoughtfully planned out her entire space from her plants and where they are placed, to her custom-painted wall by a local artist.
With all of her success, you may be wondering how Kimberly does it all? Kimberly humbly responded that it’s all about balance. Setting up your business to run even when you aren’t available is key, as is always treating every client (first or last) with the same lavish experience.

independent salon suite 13 years ago. Kimberly is a very active alumna. She joined the advisory board at her school and has helped create some of the curriculum, while visiting frequently to chat with students.
Advice to younger stylists: Believe in yourself. Find your vibe and run with it because authenticity and individuality are valued and hard to find these days. Be who you are and the rest will follow. Remember that your environment can be toxic, but you don’t have to be.
