I never get to spend time with my dad. It’s like he loves that weird smelling liquid more than me! I hate it! He never wants to play with me.

Whenever I play with my friends outside, he gets VERYcranky, and yells at me and my friends. He always scares my friends away. Why does he never let me have any fun? Does he hate me that much that he wants me to have a miserable life?

One day, I had a soccer game, and I was surprised to see my dad there. He seemed a bit different than how he usually is when he’s near that liquid. But that doesn’t matter, at least he came to watch me play!

That night, we got chinese takeout, and we had the best day ever, my dad was the best! But my mom didn’t share the same feeling. She looked really disappointed in dad. I think it was because of the weird liquid, but I didn’t care because I still got to hang out with him.

Late night, I was frighteningly woken up because I heard my parents arguing. I just wanted them to stop, but my mom wouldn’t leave my dad alone! My dad zoomed out of the house and drove away.

As my mom comforted me, she said, “your father has a problem in himself that he does not notice yet. We need to work together to help him” I asked, “Is it because of the liquid? It makes him act mad all the time.” “Yes honey, your father is very sick in a unique way, and needs to be treated.”

An hour later, my mom got a phone call from a hospital, saying my dad was in a car accident!They said he was “drunk driving” and crashed into a tennis court!

Along couple months go by, and I’ve never been happier in my life ever, and that goes for my dad as well!

I’m so happy he’s not sick anymore, and now he can finally love me back! I love my dad!
