A couple of weeks back the neutral arbitrator issued our contract award.

After all the media driven hype about transparency and community input (not a single person even attempted to show up) it was a pretty decent award.

We did better then all the other city unions as well as the teachers. And rightfully so.

In today’s climate no other job is more difficult then that of a police officer.

We deserve more, we want more, but the award was fair.

We put a lot of time, effort, and money into putting a well prepared, on point presentation.

We have done this in all contracts since my Team has been in place (six contracts, with over 50% in pay increases).

We are proud to represent you, and will continue to do so.

I have to give a shout out to Jack Gaittens and Ray Convery over at LEHB, as well as our labor attorneys, experts, actuaries, and all the witnesses.

We appreciate all the work put in.

Now we need to work on manpower, working on getting council to make changes to hiring, as well as a number of other issues in Harrisburg.

Keep your heads up… its bound to get better.
