Dear Playmakers families and friends,
Welcome to The Wizard of Oz! As excited as we are to have you here for showtime, I wish you could see the rehearsal process we get to watch and enjoy. As our casts prepare for opening night, they are also forming new friendships, supporting each other’s work and finding their voices.
As you watch Dorothy and her friends travel along the Yellow Brick Road, I hope you’ll also see the bravery it takes to perform in front of an audience, the heartfelt way our casts care for and lift up one another, and the brains behind learning new skills. Our performers know so well what Dorothy learns — you can get anywhere if you do it together.
We are so proud of both of our outstanding casts — not only for their awesome performances, but also for their collaboration, creativity and kindness off stage — and I am so thankful to Liza, Annie, Adri, Eric, Allison, Kelly, Marin, and everyone who helped bring Wizard of Oz to life. It’s no coincidence that our team is made up of so many alumni. There really is “no place like home!”
We hope you’ll join us this summer at camp or for our spring show!
