A Two Campus Advantage

SAFRAN PARK MANDEL JCC, BEACHWOOD All J-Day Camps campers start and finish their days with all-camp programs at Safran Park. The offers the ability for campers of all ages to connect with one another and share experiences from song sessions to Shabbat programming. Campers who spend their days at Safran Park make full use of the beautiful, wooded campus with an outdoor pool, Gaga pits, tetherball, shelters, an Arts and Crafts building and indoor program spaces, restrooms and changing areas.

HALLE PARK BURTON, OHIO Halle Park sits on 325 acres owned by Mandel JCC and shares a lake with Camp Wise. J-Day Camp campers spend time on the lake with kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, peddle boats and our aqua jungle gym. The Deborah Ann November Aquatics Center includes a pool, two water slides and sprayground. Campers also enjoy ropes courses, archery, sports fields and hiking. Our 2nd-8th grade Anisfield campers – who spend their days at Halle Park – enjoy song sessions, teambuilding and games with their friends during the short bus ride to and from Safran Park.

Our youngest campers are treated to a camp experience that provides fun and adventure. Kindergarten and 1st graders participate in a taste of all that camp has to offer. Every day, campers will get creative with arts, crafts and performing arts activities. They will learn about teamwork and sportsmanship

Looking to get the best of all things camp? Camp 360 is just that. Every day, campers will get creative with arts, crafts and performing arts activities. They will learn about teamwork and sportsmanship while participating in a variety of sports and games.

SAFETY TOWN

Our kindergarten campers learn about emergency preparedness, fire safety, weather, traffic, bike riding, street crossing and stranger safety – all right here at camp during Session 3.

Anisfield Day Camp At Halle Park GRADES 2-8 • BURTON, OH • 9 AM – 4 PM

J-Day Camps is returning to Anisfield at Halle Park this year. Campers in grades 2 through 8 will once again enjoy our beautiful, wooded property in Burton, Ohio. Campers start their days at The J in Beachwood for a full camp Rock the Rock gathering, then continue finding the fun with their friends and counselors during an active bus ride to Burton complete with games, activities and song sessions.

Campers customize their individual camp experience by signing up for a variety of Majors that allow campers to immerse themselves in the activities they love most or those in which they want to learn more about. Campers swim daily and have lake activities at least twice per week. Camp 360 campers in grades 2-3 will have swim lessons and free swim daily.

MAJORS FOR GRADES 2 - 6 A major gives your camper a chance to spend 40% of their day in a specific program area, doing a deeper dive into something they choose. All campers will participate in swimming and have the ability to go to the lake twice per week.

ATHLETICS

Campers have an hour of daily athletics where they build and hone new skills. Additionally, campers’ schedules contain a variety of sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, Krav Maga and the Ninja Warrior course!

CREATIVE ARTS

Explore the world of visual arts. Projects include a variety of mediums and techniques including painting, collaging, charcoal, graffiti, mixed media and more.

MAJORS WITH ADDED FEES FARM TO TABLE

Learn what it’s like to truly live off the land! Campers will plant, nurture and then enjoy the fruits of your labor.

FISHING AND BOATING

Do you love adventure and water? Learn basic water safety, knot tying and lure making with the fun of basic casting and lake fishing.

HORSEBACK RIDING

It’s a full equestrian experience. In addition to horseback riding, you will learn how to care for horses including grooming, feeding and total care.

You wanna be the very best like no one ever was? Catch and train your very own Pokémon during this immersive Poké experience.

TASTE OF PERFORMING ARTS CAMP (PAC)

Sing your heart out in this musical theater mini-camp. Learn choreography, improv skills, how to play a character and enjoy your moment in the spotlight.

GESHER PROGRAMMING GRADE 7-8 CAMP 360

All Gesher campers will have the opportunity to build their own schedule on the first day of each session. No two weeks need to be the same! Campers are given their choice to create their own adventure and experiences.

The J’s Performing Arts Camp (PAC) is a place for campers of all experience levels to stretch their imaginations, gain confidence on and off the stage, find their voices and build lifelong friendships. Through playing a character, singing their hearts out, and showing off their best dance moves, campers have the

Our campers participate in a variety of fun and interactive programs every day including: • Arts and Crafts • Dance • Drama • Improv • Music • Sports/Yoga • Swimming • Tech and Theater Design

Each day, camp groups participate as a team (counselors, too!) in a creative challenge. They are hilarious and theatrical – a camp favorite! Each village spends the session rehearsing for opening night. Campers participate as performers or ”techies,” and all performers have a featured role with solos and lines. Rehearsals are process-driven & help campers build skills and confidence.

At the end of each session, each village performs a splashy, spectacular show! Campers act, dance and sing their hearts out in fabulous and fun performances.

Ukulele, Karaoke & Battle of The Bands, oh my! There are tons of electives to choose from each week. We can’t wait to see what you’ll pick!

REHEARSAL

We provide campers the chance to show their stuff and learn in master classes from accomplished professionals and camp alumni, including local and Broadway actors!

Sachkanim and Orim campers will also choose a medium to explore in a festival-style showcase. From hip hop to costume design, the sky’s the limit!

Our oldest Performing Arts campers enjoy the flexibility of creating their own schedules and their own show! What could be better than writing and performing your own ideas?
