The cast of the acclaimed hit movie The Women’s Balcony is reunited for a series that continues the film’s story forward with a chance to revisit the tightly-knit Jerusalem neighborhood Home to the Bukharim Quarter, a moderate Orthodox sect whose lives revolve around friendship, support, humor and their local synagogue But the synagogue is falling down and needs major restoration When real estate developers earmark the area for wholesale transformation, and the ultra-Orthodox politicians try to model the neighborhood on their own, will the families of the Bukharim Quarter be able to hold on to their way of life, their livelihoods and the very streets they call home?
