A Healthy, Fun Way To A Better You What You Get The Weight Loss Challenge is for anyone age 18 and over who wants to firm up your body, loose weight and feel better overall. You get six weeks of continuous motivation and support from trainers at The J. Free InBody Scan Your initial weigh-in will use our InBody 570, an advanced body composition analyzer that measures muscle mass, body fat and total body water ($40 value).

Free 30-Minute Personal Training Trial All participants will receive a consultation with a certified personal trainer to go over your InBody results and help you get started with your weight loss journey ($40 value).

Six Dedicated Exercise Classes We have chosen weekly 45-minute group workouts to keep you on your weight loss journey.

Motivation from Our Personal Training Team Trainers will provide workout tips, basic nutritional recommendations, fitness challenges, weekly emails and more. You may see some surprise challenges throughout the event too.

Expresso Bike Challenge Sign in to a fully immersive cycling adventure. The 24” HD touchscreen displays road racing, studio cycling and HIIT gaming modes. We’ll announce challenge rides during the six week weight loss journey. BONUS: Rider with the most logged miles wins three 30-minute private personal training sessions.

12 TH YE AR SPECIAL GROUP WORKOUT CLASSES Group workouts are a great way to stay healthy and keep motivated.

This six-week curriculum has been developed specifically for registered participants of The Weight Loss Challenge. All classes are held at 12:15 pm in the group fitness studio (Wave Warrior will be held in the Indoor Pool).

Jan 15 • Body Blast This bodyweight-only class will challenge and build strength, flexibility and cardio endurance.

Jan 12 • Boot Camp Powerhouse Get strong and fell empowered with this work-at-yourown-pace combination of resistance, strength and cardio.

Jan 29 • Core Fusion A core workout that is designed to train your core and supporting muscle groups.

Feb 5 • Wave Warrior Let’s hit the pool. This CrossFit workout will crush calories while building strength, power and endurance.

Feb 12 • Circuit Breaker A fast-paced workout with combos of resistance, strength, cardio and bodyweight sequences.

Feb 19 • Drums Alive A party workout for the entire body with music.

Pia Alesci is an AFAA certified group fitness instructor. Pia teaches multiple formats from Barre to CrossFit to Aquatics.

Some of her certifications include: Rock Steady Boxing, Drums Alive, beginning level Pilates and Yoga, BOSU, Circuit/boot camp formats and Barre.

R U L E S & R E G U L AT I O N S 1. Y ou must be at least 18 years old to participate.

2. The Weight Loss Challenge is open only to Mandel JCC members and staff.

3. Past winners are eligible to win.

4. Participants must sign a waiver of liability at the time of registration.

5. Registration will open November 18, 2022 and close January 8, 2023.

6. Fee for participation is $70 and includes all classes, weigh-ins and additional activities as outlined in the program details.

7. All participants are required to have their body weight taken with our InBody 570 assessment tool. The weigh-in will be held on Mon, Jan 9 from 8 am to 2 pm and 3 to 7 pm. Proper weigh-in attire must be worn: t-shirt and shorts or exercise pants. No shoes or bulky/heavy clothing.

8. Weekly weigh-ins are highly encouraged.

9. The final weigh-in will be held on Mon, Feb 20 from 8 am to 2 pm and 3 to 7 pm – no exceptions.

Participants who do not make the final weigh-in will not be eligible for prizes.

10. There are two winners in this competition: A male and female who have the highest percentage weight loss.

The two winners will receive a $250 Visa gift card.

Winners will be announced on February 21, 2023 on Mandel JCC’s website and social media pages (Facebook and Instagram).
