How did you end up in Cyprus?

My connection to Cyprus actually began almost 25 years ago when my mum first came here We had just lost my dad, and a friend encouraged her to take a break and come to Cyprus for some peace and breathing space. She always says that the moment she stepped off the plane, she felt like she was home. And I completely resonate with that. Fast forward to last year. After my

relationship breakup, I I suffered a severe injury that left me unable to walk for about five months. The NHS offered no support, no physio, no guidance. Private doctors in the UK advised me to come to Cyprus for proper healthcare So I flew here (with 2 blood clots may I add ,terrifying ) and learned to walk again here, with the help of an incredible physio Alexandros Iosif in Limassol And as my mum has lived here for 7 years, i decided to stay. There is something magical about this island. I truly believe there is a portal here. I’m big into manifestation, and everything I’ve ever written down, imagined, or visualised on this island has come to life with unbelievable speed. There’s a huge spiritual community here, and I’ve truly found my home Cyprus has been the home I didn’t know I needed, the place where I healed, rebuilt, and rediscovered myself. And that’s how I ended up here.

What do you love about your new life?

i It feels like a complete r rebirth. Everything is new. It’s a fresh chapter and a chance to wake up each morning and choose who I want to be There’s something incredibly powerful about starting again, it's exciting.

What opportunities have you found?

The opportunities in Cyprus are absolutely endless truly infinity wide and infinity deep. This island is full of possibility, but you can only see it when you allow yourself to slow down, find your rhythm, and vibe with the energy of the place. If you try to push, force, or operate with the same fast-paced mindset as the UK, you’ll hit blockages. Your vision becomes clouded. Cyprus teaches you to relax, to live in the moment, and to trust that everything unfolds exactly when it’s meant to Every conversation becomes a doorway. Every connection becomes meaningful. I’ve met people in the most unexpected ways who have opened up new paths, new ideas, new possibilities That’s exactly why I recently created The Glow Up Society Collective because business here isn’t about transactions or ticking boxes the way it often can be in the UK In Cyprus, everything is about energy, connection, authenticity, vibrancy, and flow. The Collective brings together women who are rebuilding, starting again, or simply seeking a deeper sense of community and presence. And already, the connections are powerful..

Here, opportunity doesn’t come from hustle, it comes from openness. It comes from being present, being kind, being aligned with your purpose, and being willing to support the people around you. When you approach Cyprus with an open heart rather than a rigid agenda, the island gives back tenfold. What advice would you give to anyone thinking of moving here?

Just do it You have to arrive with an open mind and an open heart. Be prepared to flow, adapt, explore, and transform. Cyprus is a place that unfolds for you when you let go of control. If you come here trying to force things to happen your way, you’ll find yourself frustrated. But if you arrive ready for change, ready for growth, and ready to surrender to the experience, everything begins aligning in the most unexpected and beautiful ways Why Limassol? Easy. My mum lives here! It is a city, and it’s vibrant. There’s something going on all year round twelve months of the year, every single night. I can go out dancing every night if I want to.

I’ve always been a huge fan of the film Mamma Mia and the whole romanticised idea of living in an old, character-filled home I love houses with stories, with quirks, with that higgledy-piggledy charm. So when I was imagining my new life in Cyprus, this style of home was always in my vision

The moment I walked inside, it completely took my breath away. I just knew. I felt this overwhelming sense of coming home. I felt my grandmother’s energy so strongly After not having my own home for so long, it was emotional, it felt incredible.

What are your hopes for 2026?

I’m so excited for 2026! My dreams are all about coming back to my strongest, healthiest self. I had a dream to be completely pain-free

Before the age of 40 I was 98% there until my injury. So now, my goal is to be pain-free before I turn 50, and I’m fully working on that, ladies

Tell us about your Mamma Mia house.

I’ve done so much research into holistic living, and I’m working on something really exciting with blood-based tested nutrition That is completely changing the game in how we live holistically, control our hormones, and reduce inflammation in the body.

It’s going to be incredible, the biggest glow-up and reset of my life and I hope to share that with many others. I’ll also be working on my dream of opening my Reformer Pilates studio and running retreats I may have a retreat coming up in Sri Lanka, but I also want to hold retreats in Cyprus. I’m super excited for the Glow Society Collective to grow, both online and in person, and to help people start again, reset and truly GLOW in life

Welcoming the New Year: Self-Discovery First for Lasting Love

As we step into a brand-new year, there’s that familiar buzz of possibility in the air. Many of us feel excited about fresh starts, especially when it comes to love A new relationship, a deeper connection, or simply opening our hearts again. It’s tempting to dive straight in, isn’t it? But as a male coach working with women, I’ve learned (and lived) that the best relationships bloom only after a proper reset through self-discovery

Sixteen years ago, after my own long-term relationship ended, I could have jumped into the next one chasing the same old spark. Instead, I paused. I looked inward, asking what I truly needed, not just what felt thrilling That’s when I created The Circus Question™ to identify ideal dynamics It revealed my energy as a Ringmaster, bridging leader and sharer, and showed me I needed a supportive yet equal partner, like a Dancer, to create real harmony. This self-discovery changed everything for me

Rushing into love without this understanding keeps us repeating patterns. We chase the “fit” type, exciting and charismatic, but miss the fit that lasts: shared values, emotional balance, mutual respect The new year is perfect for this reset Start by reflecting alone: journal your past relationships, what worked, what didn’t. Ask yourself honest questions: Do I prioritise thrill over trust?

Do I settle for chemistry without compatibility?

Use this quiet season to uncover your true dynamic on the polarity spectrum: leader, sharer, or supporter. Honour it fully. Try The Circus Question™ on yourself first – it’s a playful yet powerful way to reveal your energy pattern. Read about polarity, explore your love languages, attachment style, and what gratitude in love means to you. Clear out old baggage: forgive past hurts, release limiting beliefs about what love “should” be

When we know ourselves, we attract (and recognise) the right match. No more settling for chemistry without compatibility. This year, let self-discovery be your foundation. The love that follows will feel effortless, grateful, and deeply aligned because it’s built on who you really are You’ll welcome someone imperfectly perfect, someone you’re grateful for every day, someone you want to make memories with, not out of obligation, but because your heart chooses them.

The reset isn’t about waiting forever; it’s about entering love ready, clear, and strong That’s when the new year truly becomes magical.

I WENT ON A DATE.. AND IGNORED IT ENTIRELY!

My friend met a guy and wanted to go for dinner with him but didn’t want to go alone, so without consulting me she arranged for a double date with an hour’s notice. I didn’t want to go, but as ever the networker, I thought it might be a new business contact at the very least and a free dinner. So with minimal effort (I didn't even brush my hair) I met them at the restaurant.

In Cyprus unfortunately smoking is allowed everywhere and I detest it, so before I had even sat down there was a cloud of cigarette smoke wafting over the table. So I shook hands and moved my chair back to almost the table behind, which was empty. Right then I was ready to leave. I didn’t go to charm anyone, I went to support my friend and maybe, survive without pretending to be someone I’m not. But they had the personality of a piece of cardboard. So I pulled out my phone, something I would be normally horrified if anyone else did. There was a message from my friend sat next to me telling me I was rude. Like I give AF. I am not going to make small talk to people I am not interested in.

I was existing quietly in the corner of someone else’s romance, not mine. Society tells us we have to be engaged in every social setting. Smile, laugh, validate. But why? Just because I share the same space doesn’t mean I owe anyone performance points. And don’t get me wrong, when I am in a setting with people I want to be with, I am absolutely hilarious and entertaining. But this was not that night. I was thinking of ways to leave from the moment I arrived, without bailing on my friend.

I don’t want to meet anyone unless it’s a business lead and I don’t want to make small talk with mediocre men in baggy polo necks and ill fitting jeans. So I whatsapped my kids, played on my wordsearch and did anything to kill time .

Call me rude. Call me awkward. Call me whatever you want. I call it self-preservation, with a dash of rebellion. Sometimes, doing nothing spectacularly well is better than pretending to care spectacularly badly. Next time, maybe I’ll bring a book. Because in a world obsessed with performative politeness, I’ve found a loophole: polite invisibility. one thing I have learned about getting older is that I won’t be fake for anyone.

Winning a business award might seem like a moment of applause and a shiny trophy on a shelf — but its impact runs far deeper. For many companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, an award can be a powerful catalyst for growth, credibility, and new opportunities. First and foremost, recognition builds trust. In a crowded market, prospective customers are constantly looking for signs that a company is reliable and delivers on its promises. An award, judged by an external panel, serves as an independent endorsement of your work. It positions your business as a leader in its field and offers instant reassurance to clients who may be comparing you with competitors. For new businesses still carving out their niche, this credibility can be invaluable. A nomination alone can put your business in front of influential audiences that may not have otherwise discovered you. Winners often receive additional PR support, helping your brand story reach a wider market without the costs of a traditional marketing campaign.

Awards can boost morale and strengthen company culture. Being recognised validates the hard work of your team and creates a sense of pride that encourages even higher performance. It can also enhance your ability to attract top talent; people want to work for organisations that value excellence and innovation. From a business development standpoint, awards open doors. They can spark conversations with potential partners, investors, and clients who view award-winning companies as lower-risk and more forward-thinking. Many businesses report that after winning an award, they see an uptick in sales enquiries, event invitations, and collaboration opportunities.

In short, a business award isn’t just a moment of recognition; it’s a strategic asset. When leveraged well, it can elevate your brand, inspire your team, and accelerate your growth long after the applause fades.
