Purim - Local Matonos L’evyonim

HoRav Simcha Bamberger Shlit”a distributes funds to hundreds of local families, each year, on Purim. Tomchei Shabbos also give to many local families on Purim. They work very hard to help everyone who is Poshat Yad and we, as a kehilla need to support them in their wonderful work.

We are familiar with many of these families and we help many of them throughout the year. Some families have more severe circumstances than others, but they are all in need of assistance. However, there are two particular families who stand out. Their extreme suffering is so all encompassing that they are in a league, entirely of their own. Their story has shaken up anyone who knows about them and as far as we know, these are the two most overwhelming tragedies within the Kehilla. In truth, both need major online appeals, but in order to protect their privacy and safety, this is not possible. Local Rabbonim know these families well.

Please open your hearts, at this time when we are told: ‘Kol haposhet yad nosnim lo’ and give them back a semblance of normality, enabling them to provide for their basic needs.

Please help us to numb some of the pain these families are experiencingto ensure that they and all of our Kehilla can celebrate Purim with tears of happiness, in place of tears of suffering.
