Shabbat Walk Manchester is looking for a Family Liaison Officer to join our team. The main role is to facilitate the smooth running of the family support service in conjunction with the London office team. You will be required to have daily interactions with our families and identify any additional support required.

Flexible hours are required to communicate and take calls throughout the day.

Role requires applicant to be self motivated, patient, caring, empathetic, responsible, confidential, hard working, have great communication skills, be a people’s person and work as part of a small team.

Dear caring member of the kehilla, We hope this letter finds you well. The OYY Lubavitch boys school was founded 40 years ago and needs no introduction to the Manchester kehilla. We are truly blessed to be part of a kehilla of many wonderful moisdos chinuch each one playing a pivotal role in educating the next generation השודקה הרותה ךרדב

Our moisad caters for both primary school and high school (mesivta) ages. We play a vital role in this tapestry and would like to share with you what is unique about our school

We are a moisad whose education is rooted in the teachings of chassidus as guided by the Lubavitcher Rebbe. We imbue each child with a deep and powerful love of Hashem, His Torah & Mitzvos, and a love for the entire Jewish people. When walking through our campus there is a genuine feeling of warmth and acceptance – with almost no incidents of bullying. At our most recent OFSTED inspection it was noted that “Teachers are highly committed to looking after pupils. As part of this, they make sure that pupils feel, and are safe in school”

The following are a sampling of the tremendous achievements in שדוק ידומל we have seen ד"סב

• It is the norm that our boys complete the entire הרות ישמוח השמח by year seven.

• From year four and upwards the boys not only learn and finish Mishnayos but are also encouraged to review them הפ לעב in their own time. Many boys also learn and review pages of Tanya, and other sifrei chassidus

• This past summer, our Mesivta shiur beis boys completed the entire maseches Shabbos in their own time!

• They were farhered (tested) on the first perek (תופסותו י"שר ,ארמג) by a number of prominent local Rabbonim (including; HaRav Yisroel Chaim Horowitz א“טילש, HaRav Pinchos Levy א“טילש, HaRav Akiva Cohen א“טילש and HaRav Avrohom Moshe Lampin א“טילש) who were all genuinely and truly impressed with the boys understanding.

• In the chol department, we have recently invested in a new English primary syllabus, which has been met with enthusiasm and resulted in even higher standards. We have also had a recent rehaul of the art and PE curriculum. Hence the primary boys are now more expressive in their English language and in art as well as being fitter and more health conscious.

However, in addition to the boy’s own academic self-development, our talmidim are guided from an early age to take responsibility to lead others.

B"H today many of our alumni have gone on to take leadership positions in Chinuch and Shlichus in different countries around the world. We educate them so that whichever environment they may be in, they are able to reach out and uplift others without compromising their own standard.

This letter cannot fully do justice in portraying the level of personal development our ethos offers each child, but we nevertheless hope you have gained an insight into why we are extremely proud of our chinuch
